The space
Welcome to my cozy 115 m² houseboat on the waterfront. The warm mid-century decor combines modern comfort with lots of light and special details.

The living room has a wood-burning stove, a large dining table for eight people, and a characteristic sitting area (conversation pit). In addition, there is a separate workspace with high-speed internet. The houseboat has four bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and shower, a separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, steam oven, and coffee and tea making facilities. There is also a washing machine and dryer available.

Outside, you will find a spacious floating terrace on the water with a lounge set and hammock. The garden is still under development, as the houseboat has only recently been placed at this location. As a result, part of the garden is currently not accessible.

Despite the quiet location, the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht Centraal and the historic city center are a short distance away.

This is my own houseboat. I live here most of the year and rent it out occasionally. So you are staying in a personally furnished house with books, art, plants and character – not an anonymous vacation rental. Everything is clean and comfortable, but you notice that it is a real home.

Normally, my dog Luna lives on board. She is not present during the rental, but guests with a severe dog allergy are advised to take this into account. There is a protective throw on her favorite armchair. You can just use the chair, but it will not be deep cleaned separately.

The houseboat has fixed beds for 6 people, which can be expanded on request with extra beds / a mattress on the floor for up to 9 people

With part of the rental income, I support two families in Alexandra, Johannesburg.
