Hacienda 6 Palms is a gorgeous Mountain Top Olive Ranch on 5 acres in Hidden Meadows! The private apartment above the garage is furnished with an expansive 1,000 square feet of space with 5 rooms - A living room, bedroom, bathroom, cafe dining tower room with high ceilings, and a small kitchen. There is a BBQ Grill in your private Tuscan Garden. There is a large walk-in closet. There are great views of the Palomar Mountains! The property is lite up at night and looks stunning day and night!
The space
Quiet Oasis - Private Apartment
This is a really quiet and very clean non-smoking property in a serene neighborhood. The furniture is West Elm mixed with nice eclectic furniture collected over the years. The property is gated and private. There is a large driveway with plenty of parking space. There is extra parking in the house corrals for guests. There is 20/30/50 amp EV charging as an extra add-on for those wanting to park their Sprinter Vans or EVs.
The private apartment has its own separate entrance through the Tuscan Garden via a beautiful custom designed spiral staircase. It has an expansive 1,000 square feet of space with great views of the Palomar mountains! Since we are on a mountain top we get hot sun during the day and nice cool breezes at night. So most of the year you can sleep with the windows open. There is a new and highly efficient central AC & heat for days and nights when you would like to use AC & heat, all solar generated.
The cafe dining room is within the Tower room with views of the mountains. You can chose to dine in the cafe room or outside in the Tuscan Garden where there is a BBQ grill, fireplace, and fountain. Don't want to cook outside? Inside you have a full size 5 burner stove top with all of the pots and pans you need. There is a slow cooker for stews and soups, and a very large combination air fryer/convection oven so you can cook and bake. The fridge/freezer is European size (tall & thin) and in a brand newly renovated small kitchen.
There is an enormous walk in closet. Next to that is the double bathroom sink area leading into the bathroom which is also extremely large and has a walk in shower and a large over-sized bathtub.

Apartment Entrance via Private Tuscan Garden
You have your own private Tuscan Garden with a spiral staircase in order to enter the apartment. In the Tuscan Garden there is beautiful stone wall seating with a built in outdoor fireplace. There is a stainless steel BBQ grill for outdoor cooking and a round teak cafe table so you can enjoy eating outside by the fireplace under the oak trees, by the babbling brook overlooking the oak groves, and with mountain views! The gardens, house, and the property are very private.
There is a washer and dryer in the garage to which guests have access.
Other things to note
Please note:
1. This is an elegant property. But, it is also a working olive ranch & vineyard, so you may see ranch work being done during the week, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays when the gardener is here.
2. The property sits on natural mountain dessert terrain, so there are variations in the geography. Please note that when walking around and take precautions.
3. There are mountain animals that naturally exist in all of Southern California and the southwest United States, including here in Hidden Meadows. Those could be coyotes, bobcats, scorpions, rattler snakes, spiders, etc. Please know that when you stay here and anywhere in Southern California.
4. Solar Generation - Hacienda 6 Palms electricity is fully generated by the sun! We are carbon neutral. Therefore, your stay here helps the planet. Even so, we kindly ask that when you are not in the apartment please turn off all of the lights and minimize use of AC & heat when not home.
5. If the AC or heat is on, please close all windows.
6. No overnight guests are allowed without permission in writing.
7. Solo travelers are preferred. We prefer solo travelers or couples who prefer a quiet place.
8. Our preference is for long term monthly stays of 10 - 30 days. The hacienda is the perfect place to work remotely.
9. There is a washer and dryer in the garage which guests may use.
10. When inside the apartment it is preferred that shoes be taken off.
11. There is a billiard room in the 3 car garage which guests have access to.
12. There is a hot tub guests may use.
13. The property is a film and photo shoot location, so you may see photo and film shoots here during your stay. Your Tuscan Garden is your own (semi) private garden. it is for your use and right outside your door. But, we may use it occasionally for film and photo shoots as fits everyone's schedules.
14. There is an outdoor shower on the east side of the house, which is the owner's side of the property. The apartment is on the west side. It is in the open air, so it is not 100% private, although it is surrounded by lush landscaping. Guests have occasional use of the outdoor shower as fits everyone's schedules and privacy.
15. There is a yurt on the property. Guests need permission to access the yurt.
16. There is a vintage 1977 RevCon Buckingham 290 RV on the property. Guests need permission to access the RV.
17. There are 5 acres in total and guests have privacy in most places, except when near the main house and neighbors fences, which are far away. We ask guests to respect everyone's privacy including our neighbors by not walking near the fence lines. Among the 5 acres are multiple places to relax and read a book and take a nap. The romantic garden, lover's ledge, lover's lookout, legendary lookout, the cocoon garden, the secret garden, and the vineyard.
