Aloha and Welcome to the beautiful island of Oahu.
Starting from $89/night!
This is a private studio located in the heart of Waikiki in a newly renovated Hotel - Aqua Aloha Surf Hotel. The hotel is a Boutique-style, modern hotel. There are 3 different sizes of room in this Hotel and ours has the biggest in size. Most does not come with a balcony but ours does!! So even if you see a cheaper condo in this Hotel by a private owner, it is because their studio is a lot smaller.
We own one of the unit and renting it out privately, so this unit does not manage by the Hotel, that's why we can offer the lowest price! It has a full size bed, TV, A/C, ,mini kitchen, sofa, clean towels, and linens. Upon request, we can also provide snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and etc.
We can also provide a hiking tour but there will be a donation and you can always email us for more info about which hike you are interested in, whether a waterfall hike, crater, ridges, forest, coastlines etc. Because we love to hike!
The hotel unit is located in the heart of Waikiki facing the Ala Wai canal. It is only 2 blocks to the beach and walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and grocery store is only 1 minute walk away. Close to bus stops that can take you to all the destinations you want to go, whether you want to hike Diamond Head, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and visit the historic Pearl Harbor. It's only 2 blocks from the beach.
The hotel comes with a swimming pool and a small gym. (but why go to the pool while you can walk to the world famous Waikiki Beach in 3 minutes?). It also has a breakfast buffet, Spa, coffee shop and a tourist desk.
Wi-Fi is available in the lobby in a comfortable sitting area for you to sit down and relax. Comes with complimentary newspaper everyday at the lobby. Our room is also equipped with wi-fi
Before inquiry, please feel free to look at the calendar for availability. Parking is available with the hotel for $20/night. You have to arrange with the hotel when you arrive, the hotel manage their own parking space. Free street parking available.
Please click on the calendar and if it is full we have another listing, here is the link:
Mahalo and hope to see you soon!

Twu was a great host. He greeted us after our arrival and was very helpful and even offered to take us to different hikes and whale watching. However we had friends visiting Hawaii at the same time, so we didn't get a chance to hang out.
The room itself was rather small but very tidy and clean. Small kitchenette, shower bathroom, older construction.
The overall experience was GREAT, this is an AWESOME place to stay at, literally 3 minutes from the beach, close to everything. Buses, shops, convenient stores were all in 1 minute walks from the hotel.
Chin met me in the lobby of the hotel called Aqua Aloha Surf in Waikiki where the rental unit is situated on the 10th floor. He provided me with the room key card and entered the unit with me located on the 10th floor. This hotel is centrally located so that you have restaurants and grocery stores all within a short walk. The beach is also just about a 10 to 15 minute walk, and it's good for swimming albeit quite crowded as you might expect in the bustling city of Honolulu. I found it very convenient to have the concierge in the lobby to answer some questions about nearby restaurants and which bus to take to get to certain places. Also, I was able to safely leave my luggage with hotel in lobby's back room on the day I checked out, but I recommend tipping them for this service.
There were some issues however. I am very picky about cleanliness and did not find the carpet in the suite clean. The bed was much too soft, the mattress quite worn out. The small sink & counter in kitchenette made it almost impossible to prepare any food other than heating up a prepared meal in the microwave oven which I bought at a nearby store. There is only a small bar fridge as well. This is okay for 1 or 2 days, but not longer IMO. The TV reception was lacking with just a few channels available, and the towels were quite worn out. There was a small veranda, but with the slider open, you got the street noise and the view was mostly other buildings quite close up except for a slight view of mountains to one side.
As I discovered, it is possible to actually get a room in the hotel for less, depending on availability. I would have actually paid less had I stayed in a better hotel room at same location for 2 nights on December 22 and 23rd (2 days after I had checked in), but the hotel prices vary, so it may be correct to say it's the "cheapest condo in this hotel." Next time, I would pay the extra dollars to have a clean and better room through the hotel, however. Perhaps the owners of the condo can make some needed changes to make this a more attractive offer.
Thanks for your review and feedback. We will definitely upgrade our linen as per your suggestion - we rely on our cleaner to inform us about things like this.
We have to disagree with you on the pricing. We just went to Aqua Aloha Surf website to book a room, the cheapest rate for January is $118 (for superior room, with no balcony), and up to $127 for a deluxe room (that's the size similar to our unit. So with taxes and fee, total for 2 nights would be $320 - compared to $228 + AirBnB fee you paid for 2 nights ($99/night + cleaning fee). The $320 is already 15% off because the hotel is running a promotion now. Perhaps when you go down to the front desk they still have room available for that day so they quoted you a cheap rate, and they probably didn't include the $16/day fee plus 14% taxes.
In addition, we would like to let you know that the mattress is new, and the small kitchenette was made aware in our listing description. After all, this is a hotel unit in a hotel building.
We took time to meet with you personally at the hotel - and we will appreciate if you have any feedback/concern, please let us know immediately so we can replace the linen for you.

Le logement était conformé à la description. Il est très bien situé dans le quartier touristique de Waikiki. Quartier très sécurisé.
Tout le matériel de plage et de plongée est disponible dans le logement.
The stay at Twu's condo was great. The location was conveniently located to all shops, convenience stores, restaurants, etc. The condo itself was clean, simple, and perfect for 2. The stay was seamless and any questions we had were always answered within minutes. Would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the Waikiki area!!
This was the most disappointing place my wife and I stayed during our 6 weeks in the US, which included staying at both private and hotel accommodation. It is not a Condo but a small hotel room with a very small kitchen sink. I spoke to hotel staff who advised the rooms are not condos as they are to small The ad for the 'condo' States it is the cheapest Condo in the hotel. It is by about $5. I had the opportunity to look at these rooms and they were in far better condition. In this 'Condo' the curtains are rotting, the sofa is grotty and the cabinets need to be replaced. The owners never came and met us despite living in the same hotel.
I would recommend the hotel as it is close to the beach and town, just not this room. It is not what we expected.
Had a fantastic stay at Twu's apartment. Great location and really convenient to everything at Waikiki. Had all the things you would need for a great stay. Met Twu and had a great adventure.
Great location, middle of Waikiki and close to shops. Check in was relatively easy. Air con worked well but took a little while to cool the room. Small bathroom, sufficient for needs. Good wifi connection. Comfy bed. Overall great value for money. Thanks Chin & Twu for an enjoyable stay!
