Welcome to Skifterud, a small ecological farm in the mountains of Telemark.

For the summer 2017 we offer a gardening-workshop teaching you the basics of ecological gardening. Accommodation, daily classes and breakfast is all included.

The space
The workshop offers an introduction to the basic principles of ecological gardening and aims to enable you start your own garden. We start with a general introduction of the production of vegetables, honey and herbs we have on the farm and will proceed by working the garden on the farm.

The workshop holder Gaby Larsen has more than thirty years of experience as a ecological gardener and has studied to become a florist.

Included in the price is:

- Daily Breakfast
- 3 hours of workshop a day
- Accommodation with beddings and towels. You can choose between sleeping in our teepee or the cabin.
- Lunch and dinner can be ordered additionally.

We offer our guests the possibility to experience the simple life close to nature. The bathroom is inside the main house and the toilet is an outdoor toilet.

Our farm has been run after ecological and natural principles since more than thirty years. We grow our own vegetables and herbs, produce honey, milk, cheese, eggs, bread and great experiences.

In addition to that music, arts and flowers are essential ingredients on the farm; Rupert is a folk musician and composer and Gaby is also working as florist.

We are Gaby (55) and Rupert (56), from the Faroe Islands and from Germany but since thirty years based up in a hillside in Telemark where we live on the place we love beyond description: Skifterud farm. We are sharing this space with some goats, two horses, a cat, some chickens and all the people that keep on passing by. We love visits, so come!
