A converted barn attached to my house, this newly remodeled space is beautiful and inviting. Everything is new and high-end, yet it retains it's barn-y charm. For a couple who are looking to get away in the Adirondacks, this is a unique and appealing option. The house is 3.5 miles from the town of Essex, NY in the Champlain Valley. Gorgeous view of the Green Mountains to the east and farm land all around.

The space
The barn is attached to a 200-year-old stone home, also on Airbnb, on over 100 acres of protected Adirondack park land. Hiking trails are all around, the ferry to VT is just downtown and beauty is everywhere. The house and the barn are separate and I try to rent one or the other, so I have a place to go! I am available, or not, as the situation demands and love to help people find hidden gems to visit in the area including hiking opportunities, breweries, restaurants and shopping.

Where you’ll be

Essex, New York, United States

The house is beautifully situated on 100+ acres. There are no neighbors in sight and very little traffic along the road. It is 3.5 miles to downtown Essex, Lake Champlain and the ferry dock. The ferry to VT operates all year. There are shops and restaurants nearby and exceptional hiking trails (CATS). It's quiet and peaceful without being remote.
