Treetops is a 3 bedroom and 2 bath classic ‘barn style’ chalet that has been fully renovated to provide luxuries to ensure your stay in scenic mountains above Gatlinburg is memorable, no matter whether wanting to relax at the chalet in a perfect mountain setting or enjoy the local attractions!

Treetops is a careful blend of the classic charm of a Smoky Mountain family lodge and with the highly functional, minimalistic finishing of a high-end property. The house is entered either through the side door by way of a 5-step staircase or through the backdoor which is accessible by a ramp. for those with limited mobility. Treetops should comfortably meet the needs of a family or a small group of 6 adults as well as a preteen or younger on the daybed.

Treetops is set on a wooded ridge with forest and mountain views from all sides. Specifically, the front wall of windows is set up high, looking towards Mt. Leconte with especially good winter views. From the back and side, you also enjoy views from the oversized bedroom windows of a peaceful, wooded setting of the opposing mountain ridge and back towards Ober Mountain Ski Resort. Expect excellent natural light at the Chalet all day long! Also, in season, you are likely to see black bears as a regular bear trail runs across the ridge.

A Weber gas grill is available on the deck for outdoor dining. We find the back entertaining area to be the perfect spot for the afternoon and early evening as it is largely shielded from direct sunlight but captures the last light of the day. Suspended LED patio lights are installed so you can enjoy extended time entertaining outdoors in the evenings!

During the 60-70s, a Swiss-born developer intent on capturing the beauty of homes from his native Alps, crafted classic chalets with great rooms offering extensive views through walls of windows and stacked stone fireplaces to embrace the nature of the Smoky Mountains National Park right outside. Our family has the pleasure of owning and renovating 'top to bottom' two such chalets from this era and sharing their unique beauty with guests!
