Experience the magic of Christmas year round! Tucked away in the Adirondack forest, our cozy cabin is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some time in the mountains. The cabin is decorated for Christmas year round making your vacation a true escape from reality! The cabin is stocked with puzzles and games so you may find yourself wanting to stay inside by the fire with a cup of cocoa, watching the snow fall!
The space
The Christmas Cabin is three levels giving you great options for sleeping arrangements and privacy for groups. The bottom level has a queen bed, single bed pull-out and full bathroom. You will also find the washer/dryer there. The main level has a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker, toaster, and electric tea kettle. There is a bedroom with a queen bed on the main level and a full bathroom. In the living room, we have a woodburning fireplace that makes the cabin very cozy in the winter and warms it right up. You won’t even need to have the heat on! There is also Wi-Fi and a TV with Netflix for a movie night! Upstairs the loft has two full beds and a love seat, the coziest room in the house!
The house has central heating but as with most cabins in the Adirondack region there is no A/C.

We are a 15-minute drive to Whiteface Mountain where you will find excellent skiing and snowboarding trails! You can rent your gear right at the mountain, and if you buy your lift tickets online ahead of time you can usually get a discount! If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, cut down your own Christmas tree at the picturesque Moody Farms in nearby Saranac Lake. Then stop by Hex and Hop on your way back to try flights of local beers and honey! Snowmobiling through the forest is another beautiful way to experience winter in the mountains. There are a few local companies that do tours. Be sure to spend a day in Lake Placid as well. You can try Bobsledding or Skeleton at the Olympic Sporting Complex, see the ice rink where the famous "Miracle on Ice" game from the 1980 Olympics took place, and check out all kinds of Olympic memorabilia in the museum. Then you can visit the shops and restaurants on main street and if Mirror Lake is frozen don't miss the toboggan chute! There are frequently events at the Olympic Jumping Complex check out their website before your trip to see if you can catch one!
In the warmer months, fly fishing is a very popular activity, just down the road you’ll find the Hungry Trout has some of the best guides in the country to show you the ropes! You can check out their bar for a great happy hour after your day of fishing! The Olympic Sporting Complex offers mountain biking down the ski slopes, frisbee golf, and jumping onto an airbag! You can ride the Gondola up to the top of Whiteface Mountain for a stunning view of Lake Placid. After activities at the sporting complex you can head to Big Slide Brewery just down the road for a flight of beer, game of cornhole, and delicious lunch. Ausable Chasm is a great way to spend a day you can hike, tube, rock climb or do all three! Check out Ausable Brewing Company on your way back for some great local beer, food trucks, and a fun atmosphere. Download the All Trails app for some great hiking suggestions for all levels! Hiking in the Adirondacks will give you spectacular mountaintop views! Hurricane Mountain in Keene is a moderate hike that has a fun rock scramble near the end. You can even climb up a fire tower at the end of the hike for an unforgettable view of the mountains!
