Welcome to The Lofty Nest! Located 30 minutes south of Ottawa (Canada's Capital City) in the intimate village of Winchester. This 2-bed Century home was gutted and lovingly restored, using reclaimed materials, sweat and love. Visiting for work, play or just the experience of living in a tiny house, the Lofty Nest will charm you with its 'Instaworthy' decor and hotel standards. Perfect for 1 or 2 guests; can accommodate up to 4.

The space
Only 425 square feet per floor, the Lofty Nest is one of the area's original, tiny houses. The main floor has an open concept that includes a living room, dining room and kitchen area. Upstairs both beds are located in an open loft with a shared bathroom. (Note that there are no doors in bedroom areas, as it is an open loft). Most appliances, fixtures and furniture are new.

The entire house is available to guests, except for the basement area, which is used for storage. The Laundromat is located six blocks away and is available at an added cost.

The door has a smart lock for private entrance. The house has security cameras that monitor the exterior of the home. Late checkout fee of full nightly fee applies for checkouts after 11:00am.

For long term stays: You can have a light cleaning for $40 cash. This includes sheets and towel changes, light dusting and floors.

The village of Winchester is a hidden gem located between the cities of Ottawa and Cornwall, and only 40 minutes from the US Border at Ogdensburg, New York. Travel a half an hour to visit area attractions, such as Upper Canada Village, Parliament Hill, Canadian War Museum, Diefenbunker, the Byward Market, Calypso Water Park and many more.

Centrally located, the Lofty Nest is within walking distance to local cafe’s, where you can drink enormous cups of freshly brewed, locally roasted coffee. Perfectly situated to sample some of Winchester’s favourite eateries. Pull-apart Apple Cinnamon Bread by Simply Baked, Hotel California Pizza by Iron Forge or my personal favourite, Spinach & Feta Crepe by Cup of Jo’s. Winchester is also home to a 24-hour grocery store, thrift store, book shop, spa, clothing boutique and a number of eclectic gift shops. Safe and quiet neighbourhood.

Within walking distance to the Movie Theatre, Gym, Skating Arena, Outdoor Pool, Library, Hospital, Shopping District.

Only 30 minutes to the Ottawa International Airport or Via Rail Train Station. Situated 45 minutes from the Ogdensburg International Airport.
