Welcome to 'Cycle & Ski Oisans,' The Village House, our fully equipped rental home in the centre of 'Allemond Old Village.' Enjoy stunning mountain views from ALL rooms towards Pic Blanc, Alpe d'Huez & Oz-en-Oisans Ski Domaine, Vaujany & Lake Verney. Accommodation for up to 8 guests, 4 bedrooms, relax on our south facing sun deck terrace, secure bike & ski storage, close nearby parking. Allemond has a Ski Lift Telecabin, our house is only 30m from a bus stop for the free Shuttle to the Ski Lift
The space
Built in the 19th Century close to the church in the centre of the old village, 'Cycle & Ski Oisans,' The Village House welcomes up to 8 guests. The house has a unique history, for many years it was a hotel and restaurant called 'L'Hotel Restaurant Manin.' The food was highly regarded in the region, so much so that from 1934 to 1939 the restaurant was awarded a 'Michelin Star.'
In recent years the house has been a family home and was purchased in 2018 by its current owners Paul & Louise Smith and has undergone a renovation during 2019 & 2020 to create a relaxed environment dedicated to groups of friends or families, with exclusive use of the whole house during your stay. We can help you plan your perfect cycling or winter sports holiday, arrange cycle hire, ski hire and airport or train station transfers if required. We can advise on your daily cycling itinerary to ensure you maximise your time to experience some of the most famous and exhilarating Cols in France.
Accommodation is arranged over 2 floors:
main floor of the house
- Fully equipped kitchen, newly fitted in 2020 with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob & washing machine.
- From the kitchen there is direct access to our new south facing furnished terrace with far reaching views of 'The Oisans.'
- Spacious lounge and dining room with TV, DVD player, wood burning stove & table seating for 8 guests.
- 1 bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room, w/c
- separate w/c

- 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room
- 2 shower rooms, 2 w/c
In total up to 8 guests - 1 double bed, 6 single beds, 3 showers, 4 w/c's.
All beds and mattresses are new for 2020. All showers & w/c's have been newly fitted in 2020, we have also installed 2 new large hot water tanks. The property has been fully decorated throughout during 2020.
The lounge, kitchen & all bedrooms benefit from breathtaking views overlooking the village and the church, onwards towards the mountains, including Pic Blanc.
On the ground floor there is a large secure garage for the safe storage of your bikes & sports equipment. Guests are welcome to use our bike tools, pump and repair stand.
There is plenty of on street parking very close by.
We are located only 30metres from a bus stop for the free shuttle bus to the ski lift telecabin 'Eau d'Olle Express,' with access to Oz-en-Oisans in only 8 minutes.

Allemond is centrally located in 'The Oisans' region of France, there is a new cycle path along the river from Allemond to Bourg d'Oisans which continues through the valley towards Venosc.
Allemond is connected to Oz-en-Oisans via a cable car telecabin 'Eau d'Olle Express,' travel time only 8 minutes. We are located only 30metres from a bus stop for the free shuttle bus to the ski lift telecabin. During the summer months we have an open air swimming pool in the village.
Alpe d'Huez can be accessed via Bourg d'Oisans and the legendary '21 Bends' or alternatively you can travel from Allemond directly via the 'back road' to Villard Reculas, one of the oldest villages in 'The Oisans.'
