My sister Tina and I grew up in Clayton NY and lived with Mom and Dad... "Dick" and "Bette" in our homestead until after we graduated from Thousand Islands High school. Our charming home was built with love by our parents in 1957. Each field stone was hand picked and hand placed on the exterior of the house, as was the out door lamp post, and rustic fireplace that separates the upstairs family and dining rooms. We spent many a weekend gathering the field stone in the wooded area that surrounds the house. Dad drove the tractor and flat bed. Mom, Tina and I tagged along and would help choose and load the perfect pieces! Even our dog and cat would follow in the adventure! Our home has always been the gathering place for our large extended family. It is not unusual to have a baseball game going on in the side yard, a game of corn hole, volley ball, or horseshoes. Of course there are the card players on the porch and the coolers packed with beverages! At this time we would like to share our beloved home with you and encourage you to experience Love, Restful moments and Laughter during your stay :-)
