Architectural masterpiece (b. 1961) w/ spectacular views and privacy. A soaring ceiling and a wall of glass overlooking the dunes, the ocean and the bay. Beneath, the enormous master suite looks out to the dunes on one side and the pool deck on the other. Across the pool deck are 2 guest cabana bedrooms and a bathroom. Cooling ocean breezes flow day and night in this sophisticated, relaxed compound. Multiple work areas in the home.

The space
This home is a wonderful year round getaway. The main house is in the shape of a pyramid and its lot borders the Fire Island National Seashore, which gives the home unobstructed views east over miles of dunes, the ocean and the bay through a soaring triangular wall of glass (this is the great room which contains the living, kitchen and dining areas). The view is staggering. The great room has a double sided wood burning fireplace that opens onto the living area as well as the kitchen. The home has 3 different dining areas. There is the main dining area in the great room, poolside dining on the pool deck as well as dining on the upper deck facing the National Seashore and the ocean. The master suite is approximately 800 square feet and includes a California King size bed, fire place (gas), dressing room, washer/dryer, full bath with enormous shower and double sinks. There is large private office (with couch, coffee table and desk) off of the master that faces the pool deck. Across the pool deck are three smaller pyramids, which contain 2 bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle. The pool deck is outfitted with loungers and umbrellas. The pool deck also has an outdoor kitchen area with sink and refrigerator . The pool is private and heated. Working from home here is a joy. The view here is wonderful all year round and in all types of weather.

Guest access
Guests will have exclusive and private access to the entire property.

Other things to note
Fire Island Pines is only reachable by boat - the Sayville Ferry Service (look them up online for their schedule which changes seasonally) in Sayville, NY operates the boats. H2O limo provides cross bay service and lateral service between towns on fire island. From NYC you may take the LIRR to Sayville where taxis will take you to the ferry (or walk or uber), or you may drive and there is a parking lot directly across the street from the ferry (daily rates). In addition to the regular schedule, there are often "specials" running at other times. Contact Sayville Ferry to check "specials" or to book your own.
Please note that the commercial district of the pines is closed in November, December, January and February and begins to reopen in late March/April. Please ask any questions

Neighborhood highlights

Fire Island is a barrier island that is only reachable by boat (Sayville Ferry Service - check their schedule on their website). Because of this, no cars are allowed (except for construction/police vehicles) which creates a level of safety, quiet and relaxation that is very rare. The property is located at the eastern end of the pines and directly borders a national park (Fire Island National Seashore) of dunes, bay and the ocean. Because of this the ocean beach close to the home is generally thinly populated and the area more quiet than the areas/beach closer to town. The mile + of protected dunescape offers beauty, nature, wildlife, peace and the most extraordinary sunrises, sunsets and views all day long..
