A charming tiny space, The Shack is located at SouthEnd Farm Winery, on the sunny southend of Quadra Island. Our family farm is the place to live out your cottage core dreams with chickens, sheep, goats, and gardens (veggie and flowers) in addition to the winery.

The space
This tiny house has its own entrance and patio with a separate toilet room accessed from your patio.

There is a small/tiny kitchen that is stocked with vintage Le Creuset cast iron pots, Our Place cookware and a propane cooktop as well as spices, herbs, salt and oil. There is a propane grill outside on the patio.

The queen bed is in the loft of the living area and the living area has a cozy daybed for curling up and reading on. There is a propane fireplace for heat and ambiance.

You have your own little yard overlooking the back field of the farm where sheep and sometimes deer wander. In the yard there is a bathtub (with hot water) for outdoor bathing!

Guest access
You have your own little patio with an outdoor table, outdoor bathtub and fire pit. There's a BBQ and you have your own driveway.

Our house is right beside the Shack so you may see us going to the chicken coop or wandering around the yard gardening etc.

This is a working farm so there is always equipment and people about. We're around so will be able to answer any questions when you arrive at the farm.

Other things to note
This is a working vineyard, winery and farm. There’s always someone about, we have 4 families on the farm/. We aren’t fancy and there’s always a project on the go.

Gates are very important to us so when you come in we ask that you shut gates behind you. The goat/chicken pen borders the yard so you may have them come to visit you. They are very friendly but they are farm animals so may be a bit smelly and noisy. If you bring your pet please make sure they stay on leash when outside the Shack yard. We have chickens that wander the yard freely.

This is not the best accommodations for those with mobility issues as there are steep steps both inside and out and the ground is unpaved. Again this is a working farm not a country estate.

The Wifi may not be the best for remote work. We seem to have a fluctuation in our signal!

Neighborhood highlights

The sunny South End is a great neighbourhood with artists and trails woven throughout the landscape. We are located at SouthEnd Farm Winery, a working winery/distillery and vineyard. Please stop in at the Tasting Room for a wine tasting and picnic. We are also located near the beach, the beach access is about 5 minute walk away. The Kay Dubois Trail is located at the end of the road.
