One hundred year old adobe in the third oldest neighborhood in Albuquerque. One minute from freeway access and within walking distance to delicious restaurants, museums, downtown, great breweries, and much more.

The space
This 100 year old little adobe house is located in Martineztown, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Albuquerque. The house is conveniently situated a stone's throw from the historic Camino Real and enjoys traditional finishings like small doorways and original wood floors.

**There is a fenced in backyard with two above-ground garden boxes and a separate private outdoor patio off of the laundry room. Both have seating areas for experiencing beautiful New Mexico dawns and sunsets. If you are able to visit when the gardens are flourishing, feel free to take as much as you want.

**The front of the house has an off-street, gravel driveway that can fit 2 full size vehicles. There is additional parking available on the street.

**Fully-functioning kitchen with coffee, tea and snacks.

**The laundry room has both a washer and dryer.

**Twin bed in the rear bedroom can be unstacked to provide an extra, twin trundle-type bed. When unstacked, both beds are on platforms but very low to the ground.

**There is a claw foot tub in the bathroom with bath salts and bubble bath.

Where you’ll be

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

Martineztown is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Albuquerque. In the 1700s, the sandhills that make up Martineztown were a common area used by residents of Old Town to graze their sheep. A small agricultural community developed after Manuel Martín and his family moved to the area around 1850. The development of Martineztown accelerated after the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway reached Albuquerque in 1880, and much of the present neighborhood dates from this period.
Martineztown maintains a family atmosphere, as many of the descendants of original settlers still live here and its narrow streets are similar to the lanes and alleyways of Old Town and parts of the South Valley.
San Ignacio Church: a historic Catholic church 3 houses down from the property. It was built in 1916 and was added to the National Register in 1979.
Martineztown Park: Across from San Ignacio Church, the park has a play area, basketball court, and shade structures.

The property is close to Mountain Road, which is a popular way to access both I-25 and I-40. Because of it's proximity to the highways and Downtown Albuquerque, please be aware that visitors should always be aware of their surroundings when walking or biking (mostly at night) and should not leave a vehicle unlocked or valuables inside.

Location disclaimer: Martineztown is an up and coming neighborhood that is undergoing revitalization. While we (and most of our guests) love our neighborhood's character and feel safe here, it is a downtown area and may not be the best fit for all travelers.

There are a steep set of 3 steps to enter the property and the claw foot tub does not have handrails.
