Peaceful & rustic, the cabin is nestled at the edge of the woods and lakeside on a working farm. The Fountain Moon Cabin at Hidden Pasture Unicorn Farm® is a quaint getaway to relax & enjoy nature and meet our friendly livestock at our agritourism farm. Not fancy, not new. But if you know and understand farm life and like animals and nature you will enjoy this piece of our world. There is a lake, canoe, dock, and fishing just a few steps from the back door. Great for families & couples alike.

The space
Livestock, barns, and lots of animals are right across the lawn. You might even meet some of our goats on the Cabin lawn. You are welcome to walk around and see the farm and meet the animals. With a lake out back just 50 steps down the back lawn, you can take the canoe or fish right off the dock, catch and release only. Enjoy the sunset over a setting of peacocks and pheasants and meet our very friendly little unicorns. You will see our tiny ponies Shimmer and Bestie sneaking through gates to go where they please. And you'll meet the friendliest cat of all, our big white boy named Kapok who stays around the porch of the cabin. Our black and white miniature bull, named Bullwinkle, will gladly give you smooches in exchange for snacks.

About us: we are two busy people with weekday jobs, kids, and a passion for animals and farm life. The farm is rustic, and in the summer you'll find summer insects and in the fall and winter, acorns dropping on the tin roof sounds like thunder. We don't pretend it's fancy, it's not. There is a streaming TV and Internet access. It's rustic and all the things you find on a farm, you'll find here too. The cabin sits on the edge of the woods and we are constantly brushing away cob webs and pollen. We pressure wash the exterior once per year. Our trusty dog, Buddy, frequently walks through the screen-door at the back door to meet guests, so the screened-in porch is "mostly screened" but we keep bug spray out back. If you are looking for 5-star clean with brand-new everything and perfectly dusted outdoor spaces, this won't be the place for you. We aren't perfectionists here, so please don't come expecting that, you won't find it. But if you enjoy peace, quiet, friendly hosts, and nature, this will be a great spot for you to enjoy.

Guest access
If you would like to see animals you are welcome to walk through the farm area after hours by walking through the red gate by the barn. Feel free to sit and play in that area. Please do not go into any animal pastures and we do not allow guests to open animal cages when in the playground area to hold rabbits. We have lost many rabbits when guests or their children leave cages open, so please remember not to open any cages, and children must always be supervised. The farm is open Saturday and Sundays from 11 am to 4pm only but you are welcome to walk around after hours on your own.

Other things to note
Please keep your car on the gravel and do not park on the grass in front of the cabin. Sometimes with birthday parties we utilize the entrance as a one-way drive to get guests to the parking area for the party. If you try to enter or exit and there is a barricade blocking your car you can move it to get your car past or call the host for assistance.
