Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
Breakaway from the hustle and bustle to a front porch just waiting for you. The wooded setting is a quiet retreat that will make you feel as if you are further away than what you are. The private suite has its own entrance with self-check-in via a keypad. The covered front porch is perfect for sitting on the swinging daybed to read, surf the web, nap, or just soak in the surroundings and let the day go by.

The space
The main studio area features:

- Queen bed and a futon sleeper.
-Large bathroom with shower and tub.
- Bistro table for dining or work.
- Kitchenette includes a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, induction cooktop and countertop oven large enough for small baking needs. A selection of cookware kitchen basics along with dishware, glassware and utensils can handle simple meal-prep if desired. A Keurig and french press are available for morning coffee and a selection of teas is also available. The pantry is stocked with basic supplies/spices.
- Private covered deck area that faces the mountains to the West that can provide some spectacular sunsets.
-Business-class internet service with Wifi should you need to work remote
-Streaming TV service

Right now mostly just accepting 2 nights or longer stays because of the amount of cleaning. If you have a need of just one night, send me an inquiry about the date and I'll check out my calendar to see if it will work.

I do require booking guests to have their identity verified by Airbnb. Please add this extra step to your Airbnb profile, if you have not done so already, to make the booking process faster.

All are welcome here as this is a safe space!

Guest access
Guests have access to the studio suite with its own private entrance. Guests also can enjoy their own private covered front porch.

The space is connected via a hallway to an interior staircase that I use to access my garage. The two spaces are separated by a locking door.

Other things to note
A special note in the age of COVID-19.

Providing a clean and comfortable space has always been a top priority. Countertops, kitchenette, and bathroom have always been cleaned with disinfectant cleaners. Tile floors are always mopped with disinfectant cleaner between bookings. All bed linens are washed including comforters, duvets, bedspreads, and throw blankets between bookings.

Now with additional precautions between bookings.

• 24-hour empty stand time between bookings (as recommended by Airbnb)
• I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
• I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies
• I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay

The studio is part of a Timber Frame home and located about 7 minutes from downtown Harrisonburg (less than 3 miles). Taking a break to go enjoy a cocktail or getting a bite to eat is easy to do. Don’t feel like going out? There are several delivery options available.

Downtown Harrisonburg has many locally-owned restaurants, from great burgers and wood-fired pizza to Southern comfort food. If you are staying over a weekend, be sure to check out the Harrisonburg Farmers market for their selection of produce, meats, cheeses, and baked goods. Harrisonburg is also home to several local breweries where you can stop in and enjoy a pour.
