Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Perched on the Mogollon Rim this Ponderosa Pad breathes the 3rd best air quality in the world and escapes the desert heat of Phoenix. Luxuriate on the ample deck with a glass of wine and view an everchanging sky hovering over a sea of green to a blue mountain backdrop. The landscape comes alive with soaring hawks, deck hummingbirds, striking woodpeckers and the occasional majestic elk or deer prancing through the property. Watch thunderstorms coming over the Rim for dramatic effect.

The space
From every window enjoy stunning views of the Rim Country and let your jaw drop at the spectacular star studded sky at night, so much more vivid in this locale. Stretch out on the sprawling living room couch and rest in front of a burning fireplace with food brought in from the deck grill. Dream of your next novel or play from the master bedroom queen bed or the funky circular bed in the loft. A TV is available for DVD's only to lessen distraction. Although WiFi is not available, Pine has excellent cell service especially with Verizon.

Where you’ll be

Pine, Arizona, United States

Local hikes abound including the Indian ruins of Portal IV and nearby Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. Pine is a quaint village known for antique shops. Portal IV is a pristine gated community which can be enjoyed by walking around Ruin Hill Loop which takes about 40 minutes. The Pine Strawberry trail can be accessed as well as Indian ruins at the top of Ruin Hill. Drive up Hardscrabble Road (next to the Ponderosa Markert) for breathtaking views of the Rim Country at the second layby near the crest of the hill.
