Whole house in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains and the heart of Virginia wine country. The house is adjacent to Chester Gap Cellars, which offers weekend wine tastings, tours, hiking trails, and spectacular views. Access to the Appalachian Trail is nearby along with Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, and the Shenandoah River. House features expansive back deck, outdoor dining, and private hot tub.

The space
With a quiet surrounding and spectacular views, Idle Hour at Chester Gap is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. Perfect for romantic couples or an entire family. Fully stocked kitchen for home cooked meals including an outdoor grill and deck with dining table. The back deck also includes a private hot tub. There are three bedrooms each with queen beds. The Master Bath with a Jacuzzi jet tub is attached to the Master Bedroom. The other two bedrooms share a full bath on the hallway. A queen-sized pull out sofa is available in the Office, which can be closed off similar to a fourth bedroom. At the moment, the indoor fireplace is nonfunctional, but soon we hope to have it working.

Guest access
Guests have 24-hour access using a smart lock keypad on the front door and will be provided with a personalized code during your stay.

Other things to note
The fireplace is currently not functional. We are looking at a way to make it functional in the future.
