This is a private group campsite and includes a 12 x 32 foot air conditioned and heated kitchen & sleep cabin (sleeps up to 8 indoors) with 3 1/2 private acres at the far end of Buffalo Gap Camp. Includes a significant fast running crystal clear creek. With 4 separate stone fire pits along the fast running creek in the forest and more camping areas in the grassy field in in front of the cabin, it can accommodate up to 20 guests & 6 tents. The site also a central bon-fire pit near the cabin.

The space
A gorgeous creek runs through this large private group campsite with 12x32 cabin and it is located at the far end of camp for maximum privacy with full access to all Buffalo Gap Retreat amenities. Those amenities include bathrooms, hot showers, and firewood bundles for sale. Kayak, Canoe, wood fired sauna, horse shoes, ladders, corn-hole, hiking trails, interpretive trail, lakeview dining hall gathering place, wi-fi at the dining hall, beach, volleyball are among some of the many free amenities at Buffalo Gap Retreat in Capon Bridge, WV.

--> This is a recently developed property and camping / kitchen cabin for private large groups on 3 1/2 exclusive acres.
--> the 12x32 foot fully electric / air conditioned and / heated camping cabin has water, a dish washing station (outside), propane and electric cook facilities, cook ware, cleaning accessories (sponges, dish soap...).

--> This private group campsite can accommodate up to 6 tents and 20 people.
Extra persons at $15 per person per night.
--> This site has a 12 x 32 foot fully electric kitchen and sleep cabin. Kitchenette is well stocked, and upper lofts sleep 6 in a combination of a queen, a full, and 2 twin beds and pull out queen size sofa bed sleeps 2 more. Total up to 8 inside -- rest outside in tents along the creek in the forest or in the grassy field in front of the cabin.
--> This kitchen cabin has full electricity with lots of outlets, lights, kitchen appliances, full size refrigerator / freezer, 2 burner cook-top stove, griddle, electric coffee pot and keurig, toaster oven, microwave oven and more.
--> We also have water and a dish washing station to the RHS of the cabin with large basins and supplies for dish washing included.
--> Bring your own sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows and towels. 2 twin beds, queen sofa bed, queen and full mattresses up in lofts above.
--> The site also has about 4 additional private firepits and campsite areas along the gorgeous forested creek area -- fast rushing creek from underground sources nearby.
--> The site has a propane cook stove that can be used indoor or out -- propane provided.... outdoor furniture, picnic tables, and portable chairs, and a large central bon-fire pit.
--> you may wish to bring fire starters to make starting a fire easier.
--> Fern Valley also has a large grill pit with grates for cooking for large groups.
--> The beach house (short drive or walk) has a microwave oven, toaster, outlets to charge phones, darts, a plasma TV and DVD's and a coffee pot -- bring your own coffee and sugar and creamer -- as well as a full sized refrigerator(coming soon) for guests to use.
--> The dining hall mini-pavilion has 2 charcoal grills (bring your own charcoal) and a huge grill pit building next to it that can cook 200 hamburgers simultaneously by firewood or charcoal as well as microwave oven and keurig coffee pot.
--> Brick and mortar bathrooms and hot showers are located to the left of the dining hall as well as brick and mortar bathrooms near the gym... and a well kept, clean port-a-potty in the cul-de-sac above the camp.
--> Quiet Hours are from 10pm til 8am -- please respect our neighbors around camp.
--> We now have wi-fi at the Lakeview Dining Hall for all to use. Wi-fi network and passcode are posted on the front door.
--> All dogs must be on leash and under owner control at all times.
--> Firewood bundles are located outside of the office / caretaker cottage and are sold as $5 bundles. Payment is at in a black mailbox drop box on the office cottage porch.
--> You may wish to bring beach chairs or firepit chairs and marshmallow - hot dog skewers.
--> Our on-site staff caretaker is Sean is located in the office located in the red building near the upper pond -- labeled "Office". Knock hard / ring bell if you need something or call/text.
--> p.s. We have corn-hole and ladders games on the covered pavilion, darts, foosball and ping pong in the dining hall, and darts and a big plasma TV and DVD and movies in the beach house for all to use - as well as kayaks and canoes at the lake, and firewood at the wood fired sauna at the far end of the lake - enjoy.
--> p.s.s. bring additional floatation devices if you like your own inner-tubes or rafts!

Guest access
Currently the cabin is unlocked... No key necessary.
Parking is at the cul-de-sac at the far end of camp past the red dumpster and past the gym.
Parallel park along the road or at the cul-de-sac but do not obstruct large vehicles from being able to turn around.
There is also a graveled road down to the cabin accessible from the cul-d-sac.

Other things to note
Each cottage contains a 3 ring binder of "Things to Do" nearby as well as on-site -- including nearby eateries, hikes, nearby towns and places to check out nearby and what amenities are offered on-site in terms of games, lake options, hikes, sauna, etc
