The Ginger House: experience the warmth of this charming rustic log cabin, situated in the woods but close to the main village of Stowe. The open floor plan allows you to be in the new kitchen while still enjoying the real fireplace. Also located on the first floor is a full bath and spacious bdrm. Upstairs is where you’ll find the master with full bath. There is a large deck and fire pit which is great for just hanging out. All this and easy access to the Mountain Road shuttle.

The space
The Ginger House, named by previous owner, exudes charm and a real cottage feel. This real log cabin can comfortably sleep 4 adults and 2 children or 2 adults with larger family, a queen bed and queen sofa in the main floor bedroom and King bed and single bed in the master room on 2nd floor. Master bedroom has a tub and downstairs newly renovated bathroom with large shower. It sits on ½ acre and provides the best of both worlds, a cottage in the woods, with all the amenities: wifi; 3 TVs (2 large screen); brand new full kitchen; dishwasher; washer/dryer etc. and the shops & restaurants in main Stowe village just down the road. Enjoy the ambience of the log fire place, exposed beams, cathedral ceilings and large windows which allows you to see the huge pine trees. Only 9 miles from the slopes, accessible by Mountain Shuttle, which stops at the end of our road, or short drive. Come and enjoy the warm, cozy and convenient “Ginger house @ Stowe”. The cabin has self check-in with a lockbox with all the basic condiments and tea and coffee provided to get your started. In the house you will find a folder with all the information you should need to get to know the cabin quickly and the area of Stowe. We have just replaced the roof with green metal roof and totally renovated everything in the kitchen and bathroom.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire house, except one locked closet (for our personal things) and the added 2 season room - which is not accessed from inside the house, which we are temporarily using as storage until we get a shed.

Other things to note
While we welcome children, just want to advise for safety reasons, as you can see in the pictures the rail on the stairs would allow for small children to crawl under - just needs supervision if they are going up and down the stairs.
We also welcome up to two dogs, but you are responsible for any damage that you dog may cause and you must pick up after them. There is a medium size crate available in house if needed.
While we dont have air conditioner house remains call but we also have large fans in every room if needed.

Neighborhood highlights

Our cabin is located in Stowe, VT, just down the road is a gas station and convenience store, there is a market place in Stowe village (3/4 mile) and through Stowe is Shaw’s a supermarket for a big shop if needed. We are close to the Stowe rec path for great bike rides and close to great hiking trails. We have provided more information in the house, including all our favorites spot. Stowe has everything you could want in any season, with great restaurants, great biking/hiking/skiing and even great spots to swim and most importantly everyone you meet will be welcoming.
