Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Some info has been automatically translated.
The farm is settled in the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. Powerful mountains all around, sound of the fresh salmon-river, waterfall in the breath taking canyon. Aurora Borealis from your window, when the conditions are right.
Great for getting away. Relax or be creative. Mindful hiking in the untouched nature and enjoy farm live.
Middle of nowhere, and yet it is only 22 km. drive from Reykjavik City Center. Many points of interest are within easy reach like the Golden Circle, 2 min.

The space
The STUDIO apartment is one big space, 90m2 with windows to the West, North and East so you have the scenery around you all the time. The newly renovated space is also a beautiful work studio that we use for photographing between guests. Superb atmosphere for romance, relax between sightseeing tours, hiking or art work.
There is a king size bed in one corner of the studio surround by curtains that are very romantic.
There is also a sofa bed, if you are traveling with you child.
BATHROOM it something special. It comes with a shower and what you need if you are traveling light without liquid, like soap and shampoo.
The KITCHEN is a wonderful working space and chill out aria. You will find all basic equipment like: coffee brewer machine, toaster, tea pot, two burner hop, Microwave and games/cards. Outdoors we have a grill in the sprig and summer at your disposal.
We have Icelandic horses, sheep, chickens, dog and a cat you are welcome to meet.

Guest access
You will need a car as there is no public transport to our farm. There is a lot of space to park.

Other things to note
Good to bring cozy slippers or cozy socks, no shoes inside.
Coffee maker is brewer that uses ground coffee, we have coffee filters.
Good to buy food on your way from the airport, shopping is 10 km away.
Heating is with electric power so good to conserve the hot water as possible.

Winter wonderland:
You will need a 4 wheel drive/jeep in the winter months (usually NOV - MAR) as there can be a lot of snow on the roads.
Practical:
Check the weather forecast before you leave and do you updates while you are in Iceland. Icelanders plan their travel base on weather. So best to list things you want to do and than plan the days according to weather when you arrive.
Bring warm clothing so you can hike and stay outside in the nature as much as you like. Also hat and gloves and good shoes for rain and snow.
Like we say, "there is no bad weather, only bad clothing" ;-)
Drinks:
If you like wine, buy it at the airport, it is cheaper, as we only have special wine stores by Gov.
Water is free and so fresh in Iceland by the tab, bring your bottle!
