Experience the charm of a bed and breakfast - we serve a gourmet breakfast each morning- and the privacy of your own fully equipped suite. Relax and unwind in this secluded, spacious, modern 1025 square ft retreat set on a forested overlook with views of the Pacific Ocean. The ground level features a living/dining/kitchenette, sun room, outdoor deck with bbq grill and a CA King bedroom with en suite marble bathroom upstairs. We have a Level 2 J1772 EV charger.

The space
Seclusion: Our in-town 3.25 acre property is fully fenced and gated and is situated on a forested knob overlooking the Pacific. Your suite is separated from the main house by a three car garage ensuring your privacy. It is our only offering.

Views: there are forest or ocean views from every room

Amenities: whether you are relaxing in the sunroom, enjoying your morning coffee on the deck or "Zooming" in the upstairs office, our accommodations are geared to make your stay comfortable and productive

* Breakfast:. we serve a warm gourmet breakfast to your private sun room each morning at 9:00 a.m. We have an espresso machine and love to make cappuccinos, lattes, chai tea lattes, espressos, etc. We are able to accommodate most reasonable dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free) provided you let us know when you book

* Spacious suite: 1025 sf of modern living space appointed with cherry, stainless steel, marble and granite, a California King Bed, down pillows, crisp white linens, cotton blankets, cotton robes, warm socks and toiletries are provided

* Food and cooking-- the fridge is stocked with snacks and drinks and the kitchenette is equipped with a two burner induction cook top, full fridge and microwave -- no oven, but, there is an outdoor gas bbq.

* Work vacation: we provide a writing desk in the bedroom and free high speed wifi on a private separate network for our guests

* Video entertainment:
There is a 49 inch HD Roku TV in the living room with several free channels included. Roku Guest Mode enables you to sign in to subscription channels using your account credentials - remember to bring them! This enables you to have a viewing experience like home using your streaming service such as HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV or other streaming service.
Your credentials will automatically be removed from Roku on the date you leave. Also, the viewing history is deleted to ensure your privacy.

SONY DVD player and a library of DVDs are available.

Audio Entertainment:. Fosi Audio Bluetooth 5.0 Stereo Hi-Fi Class D Receiver is connected to Audioengine A5+ speakers. This enables you to stream your favorite audio phone app to a full range speaker set.

Accessibility: you are provided with a clicker to open the gate to come and go as you please

Stairs: there is one step to enter your suite and there is a 14 step stair to the bedroom/bathroom

Sleeping arrangements:. There is one bedroom upstairs with the California king bed. If you need a second bed, our offering is not a fit. Thank you for understanding .

Pets or Children: our property is not suitable for either so we cannot make exceptions. Thank you for understanding.

Events: we are not set up to host events or wedding preparations. If you are eloping or getting married there is an events coordinator in town as well as a number of beauty salons. We are happy to point you in the right direction.

Visitors: we respectfully ask our guests to seek our approval in advance. Visitors may not bring pets or children. Thank you for understanding.

The Grounds:. Our gardens are very much a work in progress -- we are developing walking paths -- our forest is serene and accessible from a set of steps off your deck.

Long Term Stays: Our kitchenette is set up for light cooking only; there are laundry facilities in town; please contact to discuss.

The area: we are located in the town of Brookings and within walking distance to restaurants, galleries and pubs. Brookings os located by the stunning Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor and about 40 minutes from the magnificent Redwood State National Park. There are multiple unique beach walks and stunning shinrin yoku (forest bathing) experiences. We are happy to provide recommendations

Other things to note
We are located near the fabulous hiking and viewpoints of the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor; 15 minutes from Salmon Run Golf Course ( one of the best kept secrets in Brookings); 30 minutes from the Redwoods and Jedediah Smith Park. It is advisable to dress in layers and bring waterproof shoes.

We love meeting new people but also are sensitive to your desire for peace and serenity. We regret that, for a number of reasons, we cannot accommodate children or pets nor can we host events or wedding preparation professionals (hair, makeup, photography).

Our in-town location puts you in walking distance to our cafes, restaurants, art galleries, live music scene, shops...yet our off street location means our setting is quiet. Our guidebook offers recommendations for restaurants shopping, trails and activities. We are walking or driving distance to Harris Beach, a featured destination along the the Samuel Boardman scenic corridor. Loeb Park is a 15 minute drive and offers access to the pristine Chetco River and hikes in old growth forests. Other favorites in our guidebook are Indian Sands and the Hiouchi Trail (in the Jedediah Smith Park a 35 minute drive south to Del Norte County, CA). There is golfing at Salmon Run Golf Course. The southern Oregon coast offers some of the finest salmon, trout and steelhead fishing in the nation and guided fishing tours on the Chetco and nearby Rogue, Smith and Klamath are available.
