This sweet little house is great for those who want to get away from it all. Very private and peaceful. Almost no environmental footprint. Electricity is from solar panels, just for lights and charging your phone. It's like camping but with many more creature comforts. Mid October we turn off the water and drain the pipes. The house has no water after that and the only heat source is a wood stove. It will be nice and toasty, but will require you to build a fire and keep it going.

The space
The house is 12 feet by 18 feet with a loft over a little more then half of the house. The Queen bed is very comfortable. The bunks are great for kids and are big enough for an adult but not ideal. The house does not currently come with linens, so bring sheets pillowcases and towels. There is a four burner gas stove with an oven that all works great. The fridge is quite small and a cooler is a handy thing to hold additional supplies. There is an area for having a campfire outside and the wood stove will heat the place in the blink of an eye.

Where you’ll be

West Fairlee, Vermont, United States

The neighborhood is rural. The next house is maybe 1/4 mile away. There is a mountain bike camp across the road from the driveway and you might hear them in the woods on their bikes. Bradford, a small Vermont town, is a 10 min drive away with a selection of tasty restaurants and other stores including Farmway, an outdoor/sporting goods and farm supply store, not to be missed. There is also a giant Hannaford in Bradford that has everything you could possibly need.
There is also a pond on the property which you are welcome to use. It is a short walk from the house (15 min) . The White mountains are within 1.5 hours from the house, some closer, Mount Moosilauke, some farther, Mount Washington. There are hiking/biking trails on the property for your use.
