Interaction with guests
Myself or a helper will be present to greet you and give you a tour of the house and grounds. I am on site 90% of the time, but its a big site... If you don't see me, text any questions or concerns. I love to visit with guests if there is time, but also, privacy is respected.
Other things to note
There's a latch on the front gate we ask that you open and close again after driving in and out. You need to exit your car, open the gate, drive through, then close it again. If you see a loose husky inside the gate, please wait. We don't want him getting out. It's very important to give us an accurate arrival time so we can be here to greet you when you and familiarize you with the house, grounds and animals. If you are bringing a pet, please let us know in advance. We ask that you bring no more than 2 children. Children who are very excitable, or have trouble minding, may not be a good fit for this farm, as their enthusiasm can be disturbing to the dogs, which can cause excessive barking, which disturbs everyone. Polite children who love animals are in heaven here, from babies to teens.
Use of alcohol, tobacco or cannabis is fine while being relatively quiet and respectful to other guests. Smoking must be outside in the yard or on decks.
Because of all the animals on site, we ask guests to check out by 11, and to not arrive before 3. If you are staying multiple days we ask that you minimize comings and goings between 11 and 3 pm. During these hours we sometimes lock the gate so we can exercise the animals, and clean house and grounds. We want guests to understand and respect that the down time is important to keep the house and farm clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Also, we need to know when you are going to arrive. If you don't tell us, I can't guarantee someone will be here to greet you. If you don't know at the time of booking, it's ok, but please give me a text or call the day you are coming.

In May 2014 I came from the city to be near the mountains and sea, to raise and rescue animals, grow food, enjoy life and share it with as many people as possible, friends and family. My favorite airbnb guests visit the livestock, snuggle with the dogs, use the hot tub, sauna and pool, tell me of their homes, work and adventures, use our kitchen to cook their meals, and leave happy. I travel a lot to Germany to visit my 4 year old grandson, and that is where the idea of sharing space on airbnb came to me. I look forward to meeting you!
