Interaction with Guests
Myself or a helper will be present to greet you and give you a tour of the house and grounds. I am on site 90% of the time, but its a big site... If you don't see me, text any questions or concerns. I love to visit with guests if there is time, but also, privacy is respected.
Though close to town, it's sparsely populated, lovely and quiet. We have 6 acres with sheep, goats, 2 llamas, chickens, 2 horses, an Akbash livestock guard dog, in addition to our crew of house dogs. The animals are all sociable, and you are welcome to visit them, or help feed them. Just let us know. They are also especially popular with kids.
Bus in town, hiking and biking trails.
Other Things to Note
There's a latch on the front gate we ask that you open and close again after driving in and out. You need to exit your car, open the gate, drive through, then close it again. If you see a loose husky inside the gate, please wait. We don't want him getting out. It's very important to give us an accurate arrival time so we can be here to greet you when you and familiarize you with the house, grounds and animals. If you are bringing a pet, please let us know in advance. We ask that you bring no more than 2 children. Children who are very excitable, or have trouble minding, may not be a good fit for this farm, as their enthusiasm can be disturbing to the dogs, which can cause excessive barking, which disturbs everyone. Polite children who love animals are in heaven here, from babies to teens.
Please drive slowly down the private drive to home.
AlSo, PLEASE give me an idea of the time you'll arrive, as soon as you know. This is VERY important since we are managing many dogs and want you to be able to open the gate when you arrive.
From May 1 - Oct 1, 2016 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
