Neighborhood highlights

The cottage shares the beautifully wooded property with our main house. It is in a cul-de-sac court, so there is very minimal traffic. It is quiet and peaceful here, a sanctuary. There are nice neighborhood walks, lots of birds and wildlife. Mariposa Coffee is a 5 minute drive, and roasts many flavors and blends of their own delicious coffee. The Triangle Market general store is about 5 miles away and sells just about everything! There are several great restaurants in Oakhurst and Mariposa. Both towns are about 15 miles from our location and we have recommendations in our Guidebook of restaurants and shops to visit. The Yosemite National Park Arch Rock is 44 miles from the cottage and the South gate entrances is 33 miles. The Arch Rock entrance takes you to Yosemite Valley and the South entrance takes you to the higher elevations of the park.

Lives in Mariposa, California
We bought our house in Mariposa as a vacation home, but, we fell in love with the nature, wildlife and tranquility that this property offered so we decided to make it a full time residence. I retired from a rewarding 25 year career in hospitality management. I decided to open up River Rock Cottage due to my passion for hospitality and the desire to share this beautiful, peaceful property with our guests.
