This open-plan apartment has great sunlight, business traveler's workstation, California king bed, 1.5 baths, and a well-equipped, open kitchen. Great options for nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping make this an ideal stay for visitors to Pittsburgh's East End. Less than a mile from Children's Hospital. 3rd Floor urban loft-style apartment.
Huge kitchen, gas stove, fridge, dishwasher. If you love to cook this place is perfect for you. Whole foods, Trader Joe's, Giant Eagle, Aldi and Target are less than a mile away!
Open living/dining/kitchen area with lots of light.
Fun paint colors and beautiful Brazillian Cherry hard-wood floors. Everything is newly renovated. It's like living in an updated place with lots of old charm.
Our apartment is located in the heart of the Garfield neighborhood with nearby restaurants and coffee shops, close to Whole Foods, yoga studios, and Bloomfield (Pittsburgh's little Italy!). We are nestled in a convenient location close to Shadyside, Highland Park, East Liberty, Lawrenceville, and Friendship. All of these neighborhoods are fun places to explore!
We have convenient and free street parking.
We have super speedy wifi—we make websites for a living so our internet is as fast as it comes.
We have a stacked washer and dryer unit that you're welcome to use.

Other things to note
We do have a television but no cable. We have Apple TV which has Netflix, HBO Go, and Hulu. Wahoo!
We own the entire building and our offices are on the first floor. We manage two other Airbnb units on the second floor.
Our street does get some busy traffic, but it is pretty quiet in our apartment, and you do not hear street noise from the bedroom. Speaking of bedroom, we have an enormous, California King bed.
For added security for the building and our guests, we have video monitoring on premise in public spaces only. Two cameras are located on the exterior of the building facing the rear parking pad and front entrance. A basement camera is in place to secure storage areas used by our building tenants.

Neighborhood highlights
We love our eclectic and diverse neighborhood. Garfield has many art galleries and installations, restaurants, and businesses. It's an area that has seen much revitalization recently, but there are still buildings that are boarded up on our block. We feel that the neighborhood is a great asset to our location, but realize it might not be for everyone.

My name is Kate and I'm from Pittsburgh, PA. My husband Nik and I work and manage our Airbnb units in our 1910 mixed-use apartment building. Nik is a web developer, I'm an artist, and we're both Airbnb super hosts and property managers. We'd love to have you stay in one of our colorful apartments!! We also enjoy staying in Airbnbs when we do our own traveling.
Our favorite things: estate sales, hosting potlucks, dark chocolate, road trips, interior design, playing cribbage, exploring small towns, rocking our 1950's record player, home renovation/restoration, and of course our baby daughter. We take breakfast very seriously—both making it and enjoying local cafe and diner fare.
Some of our favorite places to visit: Biarritz, Maui, Orcas Island, Asheville, Key West, NYC, Portland, and so many more. We also really love California (especially Sonoma) ... our honeymoon was a road trip down the 1 paired with a coastal train ride. It was incredible!
