Interaction with Guests
LOTS, easy going & friendly. Sometimes we share meals
Quiet, gracious, and soo many hiking, biking, and riding trails right across from our house!
Must have wheels to get to our house from the train depot or the 1-5 freeway, either car, bike, good walking shoes, OR your horse! :-)
Other Things to Note
Sometimes guests' phone carriers don't give strong coverage in or near the house, because of the surrounding hills, so there are pockets where calls are dropped. TEAM MOBILE has the worst reception on the property, However, AT&T and Verizon cellulars seem to have coverage, so 99% of guests are always able to receive & send out mobile calls in front and/or in the backyard by the BAR!
no pets, have bamboo floors
smoking ok in backyard
Washer & dryer available too
Judith and Andy definitely went the extra mile to make my wife and I feel welcome. We loved the room and the house in general and would definitely stay here again. The emergency snacks and breakfast supplies are an extra nice touch. This is one of the better places we've stayed at in our two years of airbnb adventures.
JJ and Andy are fantastic hosts, actually they are what Airbnb refers to as super hosts, an elite group of Airbnb hosts with a long history of great ratings. I can say they live up to the super host name. From day one they make you feel like you are at home. They are friendly, hospitable, and helpful.
The property itself is nice. It has a pool, outdoor seating, and Jamaican style tiki bar in the back. The bedroom is very large with a bed, desk, and sofa. The bed was very comfortable. The wi-fi worked great as well which was important for me.
The house is ideally located in a nice neighborhood only a short drive to the freeway and the the heart of San Juan Capistrano. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.
It was my first time with B&B, and JJ’s made it fabulous experience for me. Judith and Andy were so welcoming and nice as soon as I met them. I had an interesting conversation about Art and Design with them. The house was beautiful, warm and well designed. They have a very nice and relaxing yard. The room was very cozy and clean with a really comfortable bed. You can feel that you’re staying in the house of 2 artists because the house is full of art pieces, including great photos taken by Judith and art magazines. I loved the place, and more than that, I loved Judith and Andy and I really recommend this fantastic place.
This was my first time using Airbnb and it was a FANTASTIC experience! A friend and I stayed with JJ and from the moment we pulled up, she made us feel welcome! The room was very nice and comfortable and the house was absolutely beautiful! The neighborhood is also gorgeous and felt very safe! JJ was very helpful in telling us about places to visit around town! I would definitely recommend staying here if you will be visiting San Juan Capistrano and I hope I can come back in the future!
I stayed at JJ's for almost a month and had a great first Airbnb experience! The room and house were very clean and are located in a quiet, safe neighborhood close to the beach and hiking trails. JJ and her husband Andy helped me with everything I needed and they gave me lots of tips and advice to get to know the area. I would definitely visit again!
My extended stay with JJ and Andy has been an outstanding experience. I could not have landed in a better place. JJ and Andy are welcoming and gracious people who make every effort to make your stay comfortable. They are both easy to communicate with, laid back, flexible, and great conversationalist who is familiar with the area and able to make recommendations, while at the same time respect guest's privacy.
The house and space was as described, very quiet, peaceful and wonderfully decorated. The surrounding area was serene, safe and beautifully nestled among the green hills. The Caribbean garden with the amazing Jamaican bar was an ideal place to enjoy an evening glass of wine and a snack. The morning yoga on the beach followed by a jog and evening sunset on the ocean, a winning combination, are but a few of my favorite memories.
In addition JJ and Andy like to cook everyday from their organic garden, and you will have an opportunity to present and boast with your traditional, cultural and/or international favorite meal. Indeed, if you are lucky, you may be treated to sample Andy’s home made organic ice cream. Yum!
JJ will happily join you in local festivities with her 2-foot long lens, cowboy boots and hat, a sure sight that will pave the way for her.
I would not hesitate to recommend staying at their place to anyone. It is a gem!
Thank you Judith and Andy for having be as your guest, it was an honor to meet you.
We loved hosting you Laila, during your local professional assignment here, and of course your always welcome back! Your gift of transporting your lemons from AZ to us here in SOCAL was beyond anything ever expected. Andy your wonderful Danish traditional dishes were another generous gift. Thank you!
