We simply ask that you treat our home—and its spirits—with the same respect and care you would give your own. Filming for public use is only allowed with written permission.

START YOUR JOURNEY BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Before you even pack your bags, we highly recommend reading Mysteries of the Magnolia Hotel by Erin O. Wallace. This captivating book dives deep into the fascinating and chilling history of the hotel—and we’re pretty confident that by the final page, you’ll be eager to spend a night here (no pun intended)!
YOUR ARRIVAL EXPERIENCE
On the day of your stay, you’ll receive a private access code to unlock the exterior door leading to the suite’s stairway. This entrance is located at 207 S. Crockett St.—not the front porch on Donegan Street. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by the original 1850s staircase, inviting you to ascend into history.
As you make your way up, take a moment to meet the hotel’s former residents through the faded portraits on the walls. On the left, the watchful eyes of Texas Ranger James Campbell—slain in 1840—and other past owners, including the current Ghedi family, guide your path. To the right, historic images offer a glimpse into the hotel’s grand past, with views once seen from the second-floor balcony overlooking the street below.
At the top of the stairs, a door opens into your suite, where the journey continues...
INSIDE THE RESTORED SUITE
Step into JJ’s Room, a cozy living area that captures the feel of the mid-1800s. In Amelia’s Room, a queen-sized bed awaits—though you may not be alone. The Faust Room, featuring a king-sized bed, holds the lingering energy of its namesake, surrounded by personal artifacts. A non-cooking kitchen and full-size modern bathroom offer comfort and convenience amidst the historic charm.
EXPLORE IF YOU DARE
For those feeling adventurous, the unrestored side of the second floor is open to explore. This chilling 11-room wing is known as the most haunted area of the hotel and has been carefully staged to preserve its original state. With helpful plaques and displays throughout, you'll be introduced to a few of our more well-known spirit residents—like Willie, Pink Rosebud, Itzy, Sam, and even... the murderer.
A PEACEFUL ESCAPE NEARBY
For a relaxing change of pace, take a short stroll to Historic Downtown Central Park, just steps away. Enjoy the tranquil fountain, historic landmarks, shady oak trees, a charming gazebo, and more.
While many guests experience unexplainable moments during their overnight stay, we make no promises—our spirits are free to come and go as they please. Whether they choose to reveal themselves is entirely up to them. But rest assured, the experience of walking the haunted halls of the Magnolia Hotel is one you won’t soon forget.
