We are 8 miles away from ski slopes in both directions. .Halcottsville is a tiny hamlet In the heart of the Catskills .The porch is a compound with an old general store built in 1890 which is available for rent .We also have a restored barn , gardens and Apple orchard . The Bungalow is super private and still right on Main Street in Halcottsville. we have six goats and a mini horse named Batman.

The space
There is a lake 100 yards from us and you can rent kayaks and walk on their property. They have trails and a swimming pond. Summer only.

We do have a voluntary fire department in our town so there is a fire siren that can go off if there is some type of emergency it doesn’t go off often.

It was named for John Halcott (1758-1831), a Revolutionary War soldier from Delaware County. He resided with his son Thomas in Halcottsville until his demise.
