Fifi is a great host!
AMAZING! Fifi and Armando's place is the perfect place if you are looking to stay in Santiago more than a 4-5 days as hotel prices are pricey. Location wise is amazing, safe location and everything is near by. Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Burger King, banks etc. Also if you are looking to cook there is a kitchen with all the utilities. There is also a delivery person who will deliver your groceries. The spot honestly felt like home, very comfortable and well put together. I will defiantly come back! P.s the place looks better in person! Thank you Fifi and Armando!!! :)
We were greeted by Fifi (Armando does not live there) and made us feel very welcomed. (She gave us coffee, and we talked about what to see, where to go, etc.) The room, though sparsely equipped (e.g. few dishes, no bowls), was comfortable. Fifi even offered her housecleaner as daily maid service! She arranged a driver and car for us to go to a somewhat distant site. She arranged for a taxi to take us to the bus station when we left. We used her washer and dryer. Her house is well-located in a very nice, somewhat upscale neighborhood, where we felt completely safe. We would recommend Comfort and Joy to anyone planning to go to the beautiful mountain-valley city of Santiago.
This apartment was exactly what I needed, I was barely there due to me already knowing people who live in Santiago so for the 5 hours a day I was there it was definitely clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place to everyone (especially for the price). It had a nice view of the mountains when on the patio and I actually spent more time with the dog than FIFI haha (didn't even get his name) but the dog is cool as hell so no need to worry. If I ever come back to Santiago its here. Great area, right in the center and secure. Enjoy.
The apartment is in the safest and the richest part of Santiago. The cars parked and the houses in the block will tell you are in the best spot. A magnificent view of the mountains from the property. A gorgeous garden full of flowers. You can walk to Monument park within 10 minutes. There's a cool local restaurant very close to the apartment. Down the block and turn right and it is on the left side of the street, forgot the name. Right around there, there's a mall, few minutes walk from the apartment, you have all the American choices (Pizza Hut Etc). Another good option or food is to go to local supermarket - 15 minutes walk and you can buy hot cooked food. Well, within a day, I forgot that I was in a rented apartment. I totally felt like at home. There is very pretty garden and an outdoor living room. Armando did not do a good job taking picture of the apartment and the surroundings. Fifi, Armando's mother knows all the best (but very reasonable price) places to eat in town. A few times she dropped us to local restaurants and supermarket for free while she was going somewhere. She also took us to the beach and bought us lunch, I was almost broke. I think Fifi likes to meet people and have a good time with them. Can you imagine property owner taking you to beach and buying you lunch? Well, next time it'll be my turn to treat her. I just can't say enough how much I enjoyed staying at this property. I surely will be back soon. Thanks to Fifi and Armando.
It was in a good location within walking distance to the monument, restaurants, supermarket, and in a quiet neighborhood. Rosa the mother whose house it belongs to lives downstairs and was friendly and nice. The apartment was not the cleanest and maybe a little overpriced compared to what I have had before.
