See what is was like to live in a simple farmhouse in the early 1900s! This is the original house on the family farm built in 1903. It's rustic - most of the original furnishings are still in the house and it is laid out very much like it was originally - simple and practical. You will feel like you are staying in a museum. If you like history, you'll love Valkommen House!

**** Please note: This property does not operate between October 15th and May 1st. *****

The space
The house has a common room and a bedroom downstairs and one large room upstairs that serves as a second bedroom. The common room has a mini-kitchen set up on an old wood-burning stove with a microwave, small refrigerator, a toaster and a Keurig coffee maker. There is also a cooktop available. You won't have to use the outhouse - a modern bathroom has been added on the back of the house.

About me: I'm a laid back, fun loving guy living on the family farm. Our family has lived on this farm for about 120 years. I spent about 24 years in San Francisco so I've experienced the polar opposites.
