Come stay among moss covered spruce woods in our village of tiny homes and misfit animals, a short walk from the lakes and mountains of ANP.

Bike less than 3 miles to see the sunset and picnic by the ocean. Ride the carriage trails to swim at Seal Cove and Long ponds and to hike up the western mountains.

Take a short drive to the villages of Southwest for fresh seafood and nighttime entertainment. Even enjoy avant-garde theater in a rustic barn by the sea.

The space
This Yurt is built of split maple poles. There is a skylight in the center of the roof to let in the morning sun. There is a loft made from an arched cedar log, a full sized bed, a sink, counter and shelves.

There is an outhouse in the woods for guests to use. We also have a full bathroom. it is located in our apprentice house, on the first floor. Please note, it is a shared space! We use it, as well as guests for our other tiny homes. We ask people to use the outhouse, unless you are in the bathroom to shower. We encourage guests to use the solar shower. The apprentice house is still under construction. The bathroom has not been updated. It is about 20 years old. It is not cleaned between each guests use, but there is clorox spray for guests to use under the sink if needed.

Where you’ll be

Seal Cove, Maine, United States

Our tiny homes are sheltered in a quiet
mossy woodland. Just a mile walk from our land is a lake with wonderful swimming and fishing and the trailhead up the western mountains of Acadia. Take a two and a half mile bike ride in the opposite direction and you'll find yourself at a beautiful picnic spot by the ocean, the perfect place to enjoy a lobster bake as you watch the sun set. If you want to buy a boiled lobster on the docks, go to Thurston's restaurant just 6 miles away!

Our property is located at the end of a private road. Children play in the road and animals are allowed free range. Please make sure to drive under 10 mph on our road through out your entire trip. We are very strict on this and if we receive a complaint about a vehicle driving too fast that guest will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. The future of our rentals depends of guests following this rule.

During your stay

We are more than happy to help with check in, visit, give a farm tour and give further recommendations if guests would like. For guests who prefer to be more independent each home is set up with a check in binder and we send instructions the morning of check in.

We ask that during your stay, if you need something that is not in the home please let us know. It may have been misplaced. But we can still usually provide it.
