Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Take a break from the daily stresses of life, catch stunning sunrises, soak in breathtaking sunsets, and gaze at the vast star-filled sky at Joshua's Treehouses.

An exceptional boutique style glamping experience near Joshua Tree National Park, Joshua’s Treehouses hosts unique accommodations to choose from on its sprawling 5-acre glampground. Relax, unwind, reconnect with nature, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the high desert.

The space
The A-Frame is a glamper's soul retreat. Comfortably appointed and lovingly designed, this "tiny cabin" spaciously accommodates two with a new comfy queen bed, ultra soft bedding, nightstands, solar lighting/electricity, fan(s) for warmer weather, propane heater for cooler weather, and Igloo cooler to keep your food and beverages fresh (ice not included).

The A-frame also includes its own personal patio area with outdoor seating, propane fire pit, hammock under shade, and cowboy tub (for picture taking only).

While the A-frame is your private and personal space, shared glampsite accommodations include a communal kitchenette, dining/picnic area with several propane grills, restroom housing three separate bathrooms and a shower, outdoor cowboy sink with H/C water, brand new above-ground pool, 4-5 person hot tub, brand new bocce court, and renovated sun deck with wood-burning fireplace.

The marriage of the Mojave and the Colorado deserts creates a one-of-a-kind experience. A fascinating variety of plants and animals make their homes in this special landscape. We invite you to enjoy the restorative sanctuary we’re working on creating here.

Guest access
The last 3-5 mins of the drive to the property is on a cleared, but unpaved and bumpy road (loose gravel). Most vehicles should be fine, but please do not roll up in a sports car or very low-clearance vehicle that cannot handle the brief off-road conditions.

Other things to note
- No A/C in the A-frame atm (we're working on it!), but fans are provided.

- Wildlife & Animal Encounters:
Some animals you may see on property: several types of birds, lizards, quails, jackrabbits, desert rabbits, roadrunners, kangaroo rats, owls, red ants and other insects. Animals that tend to roam at night: reptiles, coyotes, scorpions, spiders, black-tailed jackrabbits, etc. Consider yourself very lucky if you spot a desert tortoise! We've never seen scorpions, rattlesnakes, or other types of snakes (they tend to be shy), but the desert is their home too. Please respect wildlife from a distance. We recommend wearing hard close-toed shoes, especially at night.

*Please DO NOT approach, hunt, throw rocks at, feed, touch/pet, or trap wildlife for any reason. Please respect and coexist harmoniously with life around you.*

- Please BYO ice if you plan on using the provided Igloo cooler for drinks/sealed food. Mesa Market, just down the road, is the closest stop for ice and convenience items.

- Please BYO firewood if you plan on using the common area fire pit. All other fire pits/columns are propane (provided).

-No power outlets inside units, usb plugs are provided. Please bring your usb cables to charge phones.

Unique Considerations and helping you stay comfortable:

- Chilly Nights:
Temperatures can dip at night in the high desert depending on the season. Please bring extra clothing for layering at night.

- Please Be mindful. The unit is off the grid so don’t leave lights or fans on all day and switch them off if you leave the tent. Otherwise, the battery will run out of power.

- Summer Heat and Winter Winds:
The weather can be extreme in the desert with occasional thunderstorms! Please keep the potential for unfavorable weather conditions in mind. We cannot control the weather (as much we'd like to!). Please check the forecast ahead of your stay and plan accordingly.

- High Wind Advisory:
This is the high desert, and all properties around here periodically get wild winds in the area. It's best to come prepared for weather conditions different from what you may be used to.
