Nestled among the boulders, Earth House is a peaceful retreat space renovated using natural materials including earthen plasters, linen bedding, hand built furniture as well as thrifted and vintage goods.
The space has its own private entrance with a king size bed, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and outdoor fire pit/lounge area. The suite is attached to our main home but guests will have privacy with their own entrance.

The space
Using local clays and sand from the surrounding area, we created earthen plasters that give the home a beautifully unique, sustainable finish. We also used many reclaimed materials such as an old dough trough for a sink and hand built all of the furniture. The room includes a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, fridge, coffee grinder and bodum, artisan pottery and a built in seating area. Sliding glass doors face the southeast with a beautiful boulder view and an amazing sun/moon rise and set which you can enjoy from your private outdoor lounge area. If conditions are right, you can also enjoy the fire pit. Please make sure to check in with us if you want to use the fire pit so we can make sure there are no fire restrictions in the area or wind advisories. Guests must bring their own wood and starters.

Guest access
The suite is attached to our main home but guests will have access to their suite with a private entrance and outdoor space. Guest must walk up a few steps, and across the front of our home to the side of the house to enter their suite.

Other things to note
This home is located near the confluence of traditional Serrano, Vanyume, and Cahuilla territory. A portion of the income from this space will go to indigenous organizations in the area.

You are renting this space at your own risk, and by renting through Airbnb you are releasing us as hosts, and our guests from all liability related to your stay.
This space is to be used solely for the purpose of a vacation rental. If you'd like to use the space for any commercial ventures, photoshoots, or otherwise, please contact us.

The home is nestled in the boulders of the Western Hills which is a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood in Yucca Valley off of Old Woman Springs Rd. We are centrally located to everything - 10 minutes from downtown Joshua Tree, 20 minutes to the nearest park entrance, 13 minutes from Pioneer Town, and Pappy and Harriets, 8 minutes to La Copine, and 15 minutes to the Integratron, with many other hikes and destinations to explore nearby. Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley are also a short 40 minute drive down the hill. The home is accessed via paved roads, for all vehicle types.
