Guest access
Guests can use the entire downstairs apartment, exterior porches, gazebo, fire pit and grassy areas around the barn. The farm is approximately 21 acres of land, but it is not level terrain in many areas, so please use caution for walking or hiking. There is fencing around the property, and also the treeline in the back and along the road divides my property from the neighbors.

Other things to note
If there is something that is in need of repair or replacement, let me know either during or at the end of your stay. Please do not remove items belonging to the Barn from the property.

Power outages are uncommon but possible, especially during severe weather. The barn is equipped with flashlights, candles and lanterns.

Firewood is not provided, but feel free to bring your own for use in the firepit!

Where I went to school: Loyola Univ of Chicago
Greetings!! Thank you for your interest in the Barn. My love for travel began as a child, growing up in the suburbs of Chicago. I was always fascinated by the beauty and history of my 'hometown' with its exceptional museums, theaters and cultural diversity. Thankfully, my parents encouraged me to see the world while I was young. I had committed to do just that, but thought 'why not get paid for it?!' Upon graduation from Loyola University, I began my career within the travel industry, which spanned the next 25 years. During that time, I had worked for 3 major airlines, 2 travel agencies, a major hotel chain and a logistics company. The knowledge, mentors and friendships that I have developed & maintained over the years continues to grow. The many relocations that I had accepted, plus the years of travelling the world extensively, has finally brought me to my perfect landing place! Being your host is not just a job, but it is my passion; to share the little piece of heaven that I have found here in Southeast Tennessee. In my eyes, I am on vacation every day. I hope that you will feel the same when you stay here at the Barn. It is truly a magical place! In addition to hosting my Airbnb, I enjoy swimming, kayaking, nature photography and continue to travel by car, plane or ship when I can! I also volunteer for Happinest Wildlife Rescue in Chattanooga and Florida Parrot Rescue. You may hear squawking outside on occasion when my parrots are enjoying the outdoors, too!
