Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
This entirely hand-built cabin sits nestled on a leafy slope near Glenties, Donegal. Inspired by the 'Highlands of Ireland', as Donegal is often referred to, it provides a unique and utterly peaceful retreat with hill-side views. Wifi.
"The best building of its type that I've seen in years" - visiting architect from Canada.

The space
Please note: I cannot accept reservations which include babies, infants, children under 18 years and pets. This is entirely for guest safety reasons and care of this property.
Single night reservations are not accepted during June, July and August where only reservations for three or more nights are given preference.
This cabin has its own parking place, but access is on foot, up a series of steps (see photo). It is very private, with its own front and west facing decks, small patio garden and outdoor seating and table. Please note that I live in the house below. (See photo).

Inside, the double doors on the west deck open to a single living space with kitchen to the right, seating and dining area. A wood stove heats the entire building and firewood is included in the rental. A B&O sound/Bluetooth speaker and Wifi are also available for guest use.

The kitchen area includes an electric oven, gas hob, kettle, extractor, large double sink, toaster and fridge. A welcome basket of scones, tea, coffee and basic cooking ingredients such as olive oil etc. are all provided. The bedroom and bathroom lead off from the main living space, at the east end of the building. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and some clothes storage. All linen, towels and basic toiletries are included.

In the bathroom a spacious shower, toilet, wash-hand basin and additional electric heater for the winter complete the amenities for this listing.
Guests are asked to show reasonable consideration, as this is a quiet and peaceful place. Removing shoes inside the cabin would be much appreciated.
Strictly no commercial filming or photography.

Guest access
All areas of the cabin, deck and private patio garden.

Other things to note
Smokers are welcome as long as they do not smoke indoors.
