Downtown Temple - 3 Bedroom Apartment

Enjoy the 3 bedrooms upstairs apartment of this historical home only 2 blocks north of the Amtrak Train Station, the new Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe Way, and Depot. Conveniently located within minutes to everything Temple, Belton, Salado, and Waco have to offer. Easy access off and onto IH35.

The space
The Historical Downtown House has an upstairs apartment with a ½ kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms, and a full bath - all making up 1500 square feet. Two queen beds and a full-size bed can accommodate six people. The full-size bed can accommodate 2 children. Add an extra person with the futon couch that doubles as a sleeper. The kitchen has a microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. Sit out on the upstairs porch in the morning in the Adirondack chairs and savor a freshly brewed cup of coffee as you watch the sun come up. A large living area is perfect for late-night movie watching and popcorn night. Finish off the evening with a glass of wine on the porch as the moon rises over the city skyline.

Located on the house's first floor are an art studio, art gallery, office, and full kitchen. The downstairs is a shared space and the upstairs is reserved and private for booked guests. As you walk in the front door you will walk through the gallery and take the stairs to your 3 bedroom apartment.

Important to note that access to the apartment is a long narrow staircase that might be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, and as a shared space that doesn't close off, noise will travel from the gallery space to the upstairs apartment and vice versa. Also, no door separates the upstairs apartment from the downstairs gallery.

My name is Susan Sterle and I purchased this old house in Downtown Temple in 2005. When I purchased the house it was in disrepair and I started on a major renovation. After two years and a lot of new grey hair, I moved in. I lived downtown for roughly ten years and ran a freelance graphic design business from the downstairs offices. Last year I moved in with my mom and now am an artist. Currently, I paint and teach art classes downstairs and have a gallery. You can view my work on my (Email hidden by Airbnb) I do a lot of commissioned paintings mostly pets. Commissioned paintings make unique and special gifts for your loved ones and are treasured for years. Please contact me if you are interested. I hope you enjoy your stay at the Sterle Historical Home in Downtown Temple. Check out the many close attractions and events in the downtown area that are walking distance from the front door. Don't forget to stop by the Dairy Queen for an old fashioned ice cream cone right across the parking lot from the Baylor Scott & White Clinic.
