  • Very nice place beautifully situated with charming and very friendly hosts. Lecce is a magnificent city, the people are lovely. We warmly recommend a stay in Puglia and by Gianluca

  • We have stayed in Lecce for two weeks and have become fans of this beautiful, quiet city (well, at least it was quiet in March, we don't know what it might be like in the summer). No small reason was that we were able to find Gianluca and Ivana and their excellent rental apartment. It is within easy walking distance of all the sites in the historic old city (it is at the edge of the old city itself, near the Greek Church). It is a split-level apartment, with your bedroom upstairs. Downstaris there are two rooms, with the living room two stories high and, just like the bedroom upstairs, topped by an arched stone ceiling. All the walls and ceilings are made of the local limestone that you see everywhere, and which was one of the things that made Lecce so prosperous in the past. There is a kitchen and a bathroom, and even an outdoors shower (don't worry, no one can see you taking a shower there, you're surrounded by tall stone walls. There are some good restaurants nearby, especially Nautilus, and so is the DOK supermarket and the city's shopping area. We had our coffee every day at Avio cafe, about 7 minutes walk away at XXV Luglio and the pedestrian mall. Our favourite restaurants, Pizza Pop and Arrosteria dell'Itria are farther away, about 20 minutes walk. It's a very internet friendly city and you can get a wifi card that connects you in the nearby Public Garden as well as some other places in the city. Everything was good but made much better by our hosts Gianluca and Ivana, who went out of their way to be helpful in spite of having to deal with an important family event. They picked us up at the bus station and even took us back when we left, which we did not expect, this time in two cars with Gianluca's father and dogs in one of them. We will recommend their place to anyone we know who makes the wise decision to spend some time in Lecce.

  • We were warmly welcomed by Ivana, us as Gianluca was away visiting his Family. Ivana was the perfect host, she spent time with us providing recommendations and ensuring we were connected to the wifi. She was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. The house is just as the photos, - beautiful! There is everything you need including an outdoor shower which is handy for the summer. The house is in the old city so just a couple of minutes walk and you're at the bars, restaurants and historical sites. Lecce really comes alive in the evenings, especially Saturdays, so it's handy to be so close to the action. We loved the house and Lecce, and plan to come back one summer. We definitely would recommend staying here.

  • Ivana & Gianluca's apartment is really beautiful, comfortable & cute! We just met Ivana, because Gianluca was not in Lecce. The check-in was very easy. Ivana is a very nice and helpful person!

The house is amazing. Typical Lecce-style. And there was everything we needed. (Towels, shoes for the house, a hair dryer, lots of information about Lecce, fast wifi). We even found everything for breakfast in the fridge.

The house is very close to the historic center and it is easy to park in front of the door.

We would definitely come back and recommend everybody to stay here.

  • This apartment is amazing. Highly recommended to anyone travelling to Lecce with an interest in staying somewhere lovely, comfortable, quiet, and fully equipped. It's an easy walk into the old historical centre, and close to several very tasty restaurants. The upstairs sleeping loft is a pretty and tranquil space, and our hosts had several little treats and thoughtful touches waiting for us that made our stay quite special. Sadly, we had to leave a day early than we planned, as we very much enjoyed our stay. :)

  • Gianluca's apartment was beautiful and in a perfect location. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station and there was a bottle of prosecco in the kitchen as we arrived on New Years Eve. I told his girlfriend how much I loved a small piece of pottery in the apartment and she told me to take it as a gift! So sweet. If I return to Lecce I will absolutely be staying there again. :)

  • Gianluca has a beautiful self-contained and atmospheric home. Parking is tremendously easy on a quiet tree-lined street making it a perfect base for exploring the old town directly adjacent. The home itself is well-equipped with thoughtful conveniences including a computer for local research. It was spotlessly clean and Gianluca could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I hugely recommend this home to all those looking to get the most out of their stay in Lecce.

  • Gianluca and Ivana are the perfect hosts, and their apartment in Lecce is very special. They kindly picked me up and dropped me off at the train station in their car. Their place is beautifully designed, clean, and well-located right on the edge of the old town (so it's easy to walk into the old town but also into the new town). There's a reliable internet connection and everything else you might need. I enjoyed Lecce and their apartment so much that I extended my stay for a few extra nights! I highly recommend this place.
