A beautiful 1865 historic mansion in a well landscaped setting. Added on in 1890, this home is on the National Registry as part of the Washington Avenue Historic District. Full restoration of this property is a multi-year renovation project. Guest areas are fully renovated. Tours of the areas that remain under renovation is available for those interested in the history of the property. Near Haynie’s Corner where you will find good restaurants, a lounge and a night club within walking distance.

The space
Off-street parking with security cameras. A small fish pond full of beautiful Goldfish can be enjoyed, particularly at feeding time. A pottery studio is operational in the Carriage house and arrangements can be made for private lessons.

Guests have access to a comfortable front porch with plenty of seating & a fire table-great place for conversation or relaxing!

Neighborhood highlights

Close proximity to Haynie's Corner and to Downtown Evansville is an important feature of this property. The First Friday events, Funk in the City and the Evansville Porchfest are all an easy walk. ShrinerFest and the Hydro Plane races are not far away. I will always have a list of current events available. All of these events were cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope they will return once again in 2021.
