Experience Old Time Florida, the best of many worlds from this unique round beach house on Little Gasparilla Island – the sheer pleasure of relaxation, the elegance of accommodations, the miles of warm clear ocean waters.

The Rondavel with its 4,000 square feet of comfy and luxurious living space, has 4 bedrooms, is nestled in the palms only 100 yards from the gulf beach on one side and 100 yards from the dock slip on the bay side. Only accessible by boat - your own or taxi boat.

The space
The Rondavel is the only two-story round house on the island with 30 hurricane-resistant windows, sea view. Sometimes it rains....and how better to be entertained at home with pool table, table tennis table, darts, over 100 books and puzzles, flat screen tvs with amazing surround sound. Hammock, bocce ball...and the list goes on. The house is exactly between the bay and the gulf - a 3 minute flip flop walk to our private walkway across the dunes to the beach. Docking space for guests is available if you have your own boat 24 foot & under.

Little Gasparilla Island is a private and secluded barrier island located in Charlotte County, between Boca Grande and Palm Island, Fl. It is only accessible by boat (taxi boat) – there is no bridge connecting it to the mainland and no cars are allowed on the island. Boats are available to rent as well as availability for water taxi service for commuting the quick 4-5 minute ride to the mainland. The surrounding islands have additional amenities (you will find at least 75 restaurants, golf courses, shopping, marinas all within a short driving distance) if you wish to take time away from your island home.

Helen grew up in South Africa – on the beach in Durban. Harry, born in England and whose family later moved to Ireland, just wished he was on the beach! So he took off in his younger days to a sleepy little place called Anguilla in the Caribbean and ran a bar there for some time. We were lucky enough to meet each other here in the US and live and work in Washington DC and Pennsylvania. We love to travel the world and between us have been fortunate enough to visit 71 countries. The Rondavel houses some of our collections from our travels.
