Eagle's Wings is a modern log home nestled on 1.7 acres with 188 ft of waterfront that meets Pickering Passage of WA. Our home offers a secluded getaway from everyday busy life while being minutes from local shops and attractions. If you have adventure in mind, we are about 15-30 minutes from popular hiking trails, marinas, golf courses (world famous Gold Mountain & Lakeland Golf Courses), waterparks, wineries, & 1hr 10 min to Olympic national park.
The space
Come in and relax by the fire with tea/coffee/wine or cozy up next to family for a movie on the flat screen tv. Take a walk out onto the wrap-around balcony and take in the views of Pickering Passage and watch the Orcas come by too! It is easy to watch the kids play down just below in the garden under the arched trellis or gather the entire family and enjoy a bbq on the ground floor.

You could also go down to shore and enjoy the marine life right at your fingertips or look up to see herons, gulls, murrelets, and of course, eagles gliding by. If you're a nature enthusiast, you might want to kayak out onto the Hood Canal or take the kids beach combing for hours.
Whatever you do decide to do, you'll be happy to know that once you're tired and hungry, a beautiful craftsman kitchen awaits with comfortable well thought out seating for everyone to enjoy a gourmet meal.
As the sun sets, don't forget to grab some s'mores by the fire just below the deck. And perhaps if a brisk evening breeze comes by, the family can come inside for movie night next to the kids' fort in the recreation room on the ground floor.
After a full day of fun, retire yourself to either the master bedroom, kids' room, guest room, or loft where your body will sink into comfortable beds ready for restful sleep.

**As we are close to nature here, please be aware that guests may run into birds, marine animals (orcas, gray whale), local wildlife such as deers and rabbits, bugs (slugs, ants, moths, etc) around the property. We do treat around the home routinely for everyone's comfort.**
**we understand at times guests can accidentally cause damage to the property affecting amenities available to the next guests. We will try to replace them ASAP to provide the best service to our next guests. If there is unavoidable delay, we appreciate your understanding and will do our best to accommodate your stay**
HOUSE RULES
⦁ The maximum number of guests is limited to what was indicated on the reservation. Additional visitors may NOT stay overnight. Any persons on the property are the sole responsibility of guest who made the reservation and must have permission from owner to access property. Non-compliance may result in termination of reservation.
⦁ Please make sure to return gate remote. System replacement fee applied if not returned.
⦁ NO SMOKING INSIDE. If you do smoke outside, please dispose of all cigarette butts.
⦁ NO PETS. For the safety of your pet and others, no pets allowed on the property and beach.
⦁ NO FIREWORKS. Fireworks are absolutely prohibited on the property.
⦁ Please TAKE OFF SHOES at the door. It minimizes sand and pine needles from getting in the house.
⦁ DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. We are on septic system. Guest is liable for fees if plumbing issues caused during your stay.
⦁ Please be respectful to the NEIGHBORS. Be mindful of excessive noise especially in the evening. Quiet hours are between 9:30PM and 8AM. We do share the driveway with neighbors. You may cross path with them this way during your stay. No other guests or persons are allowed access into our property.
⦁ Respect property lines and tidelands. Do not collect shellfish from our neighbors.
⦁ Avoid all roped off areas for construction and maintenance purposes from time to time. Please do not enter these areas.
⦁ Please do not leave children unattended on the balcony, loft, stairs, and outside walkways & fire pits. They are not child proof, present fall risks, and can be slippery with rain or be a fire/water hazard. Use precaution with the elderly as well. USE AT YOUR OWN DISRCRETION AND RESPONSIBILITY.
⦁ If you choose to use fire pits, please EXTINGUISH ALL FIRES before going back inside.
⦁ YOU ARE WELCOME TO USE any toys at your own discretion and responsibility. Children should always be supervised when using them. Please put them back after use. Water toys come with a fee.
⦁ FOR SAFETY, please no rough play. Guests will be liable for all injuries &/or damages that result from unsafe behavior.
⦁ Please clean up after you are done. Dispose food in TRASH and wipe up spills. Put used towels in LAUNDRY basket upon your departure. Put dirty cups/dishes into the sink. Please dispose the garbage in the bins or recycling receptacle.
⦁ Please WASH/DUST OFF SAND before entering the house. Please don't wash sand into the sinks/bathtubs. Next to the entrance outside is a hose you can wash off sand there before going inside.
⦁ NO CLIMBING onto structures, roofs, etc...Don't take anything apart =)
⦁ TURN OFF lights and heat when you are done/leave.
⦁ Please DO NOT TAKE home any linens or towels from the house.
⦁ STAPLES such as sauces, spices, etc....may be provided at the house. Expiration dates are not checked regularly. Please make sure to check before using.
For your safety and convenience, please observe any caution/warning/rules posted in designated areas. Rental agreement required. The wood stove is not available to guest use due to fire hazard not being covered by insurance.
Guest access
The entire house is available to you. Only our garage & a small closet will be locked away for cleaning supplies.
*downstairs half bath no longer available to or listed for guest use due to toys going down into the septic system. We have had to replace the septic pump 3x in the last 4 years.
Other things to note
We are close to nature here in the Pacific NorthWest! Please be aware that guests may run into birds, marine animals (orcas, gray whale), local wildlife such as deer and rabbits, bugs (slugs, ants, moths, etc) around the property. We do treat around the home routinely for everyone's comfort. For the safety of all guests, children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Please note the cleaning fee covers: laundering all used bedding and making beds for next guests, cleaning & sanitizing high touch surfaces (bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, common areas...etc...), laundering towels and refilling consumables and resetting the house back to its original presentation.
The cleaning fee does not cover picking up trash left throughout the house or cleaning up major messes/stains/spills etc...resulting from human/animal bodily fluids, food, and personal affects left behind. An additional charge up to $200 may result should guests choose to incur them.
Starter supply of paper towels provided. Additional requests may incur charge (cost + trip fee of $30) if we are available to make the trip.
