The Cottage is a private space conveniently located one block from the Gainesboro square in picturesque Jackson county. Close by are many outdoor activities such as fishing the Cumberland River or canoeing/kayaking on the Roaring River, where there is a boat ramp, a swim area & playground. Just 12 miles to Cummins Falls State Park & 25 minutes to Cookeville.
If you’re a history buff, make sure to visit the incredible Jackson County Archives & Veterans Hall at 104 Short St.

The space
The Cottage has been renovated back to its original charm with modern updates. The bathroom has a large walk in shower and heated tile floors. Recycled materials (such as the flooring in the den—16 ft. bleacher wood that came from a high school gym in McMinnville TN), original Hardwood floors in the bedroom along with shiplap walls and ceilings are found throughout the 4 room cottage. Two brick and stone fireplaces (no longer operational) were found behind sheet rock and dark paneling. Kitchen has a pink fridge with an ice maker. Stove/oven, microwave, double hot plate, crock pot and toaster oven available. If you are fond of vintage style, squeaky wood floors and quirky older homes, this is the place for you!

Guest access
The cottage is a private space that is part of a larger house that has recently been renovated to house local businesses, but it is currently empty. There is no one living or working there.
You’re welcome to utilize the table and chairs located on the side of the house.

Other things to note
Parking is available on the street in front of the cottage and is on an incline.
