***Now with WiFi!*** The Be Well Bunkhouse offers peace & quiet while allowing guests to enjoy the sights & sounds of the surrounding working horse ranch. This cozy bunkhouse is newly renovated & welcomes guests with its sweet rustic charm & abundance of homey touches. The home can accommodate 10 guests with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths & a sleeper sofa. With ample light, a homelike living & dining area & a tranquil back deck you and your guests are sure to find comfort & connection during your stay!

The space
The bunkhouse allows guest to enjoy the unique blend of country life, while still being within 5 - 10 minutes of Kearney's restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, entertainment, fuel, etc. The ranch is easily accessible from town via paved roads, though note that the roads on the ranch leading to the bunkhouse and the bunkhouse parking lot are gravel. For additional photos, videos and 3D tour please visit the Be Well Bunkhouse Facebook page.

The ranch is within an 1/8 of a mile to the entrance of Cottonmill Lake State Park allowing guests to enjoy park access within a short walk or very short drive. The park offers hiking, biking, fishing, boating, frisbee golf, playgrounds, BBQ pits, swimming (seasonal), a nature barn (seasonal), wildlife viewing and more!

The ranch is within 5 minutes of the University of Nebraska Kearney.

The ranch also provides excellent access to Sandhill Crane viewing areas such as Fort Kearny (15 minutes) and Rowe Sanctuary (25 minutes). During the famous spring crane migration cranes also frequently fly directly over the ranch and feed in the neighboring corn fields.

Guest access
The bunkhouse is located on an active working horse ranch allowing guest to enjoy the sights and sounds of a western style ranch amidst a lovely pastoral setting. Guests may observe the horses, but feeding, petting or otherwise interacting with any of the animals in an unsupervised manner is prohibited. *** Coming in 2020 we will be offering Animal Experiences with the horses through AirBnb.***

Please note that a gate may have to be passed through (opened and closed again) in order to access the bunkhouse as the horses travel loose on property at certain times of the day. We apologize about the inconvenience, but ask you to join us in keeping horses where horses belong!

Other things to note
The bunkhouse is accessed via a gravel road on the south side of the property. Depending on the movement of horses around the property, a gate on the east end of this road (just south of the owner's home) may be closed at times. *** If this gate is closed when you enter or leave, please re-close it behind your vehicle once you pass through to maintain the furry folks on our property! ***

Although we welcome children and infants please note that the home has not been baby-proofed! As noted elsewhere in this listing, horses do occasionally travel on the road between pastures and children should not be left unattended outside or around the horse pens or canal.

RV/LQ hookups are available for an additional fee. Sewage disposal and trash disposal also available for a fee. Please contact us for rates.

Overnight horse boarding is also available for travelers. Contact us for rates and details.

My husband, Matt, and I live on a horse ranch which is also my place of work. I own and operate a horsemanship and boarding operation out of this ranch. Horses, and the community they create, are my passion. My husband prefers to travel and especially enjoys sampling the cuisines of the world. He is also an amateur home chef. We welcome you to the ranch and hope you enjoy our little slice of Americana as well!
