Is there direct beach access from the house?
No there is not you will walk out front door and go down street to walk down to tourmaline beach. You can also drive down and park at the beach parking lot below.
What’s nearby?
Enjoy the beach or the stretch of shops Bird Rock has to offer on La Jolla Blvd within steps. Some of our favorites include Dodo Bird for coffee and sweets, Paradisaea for drinks and dinner, or Lark & Owl for quick lunch! Other dining options include Don Bravo Grill, Wheat & Water, Lupi Vino Cucina Bar, and more! And for the Starbucks lovers, there’s one just a couple blocks away!

What attractions are nearby?
For the kids, check out San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, and Legoland. By far one of the easiest and most rewarding hikes you can do in Southern California is the plethora of trails at the Torrey Pines State Reserve in La Jolla (or skip the hike and just hang out at this beautiful beach!). Other attractions include La Jolla Cove, Balboa Park, and The Shops at UTC (the best shopping!).

How close is the home to the village in La Jolla?
The village in La Jolla is about 3 miles away, about a 10 minute drive depending on where you choose to go. For amazing coffee and pastries, check out il Giardino di Lili. Breakfast dining options include Parakeet cafe, The Cottage, Sugar & Scribe, and more. For dinner, our favorites are Duke’s La Jolla & Eddie V’s. Book ahead during sunset hour for the best dinner views!

How long does it take to drive from San Diego International Airport?
It should take about 25 minutes to drive to/from the airport.

How close is the home to SeaWorld?
SeaWorld is about 5 miles away, only an 18 minute drive.

How close is the home to LegoLand?
Legoland is about 30 miles away, a 40 minute drive.

Pet fee of $50.00 per day or $500.00 per stay for longer term per pet. Home is fully fenced.

Cussing, being rude, demeaning us, berating us or threatening us will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave immediately.

No parties or events. Extra guests/visitors beyond who is staying in the home needs to be approved.

New city guidelines with our license are strict and we will ask you to leave if you violate these rules.

Keeping our neighbors happy is our highest priority and we ask for common sense and good judgement to be used when visiting.
