Emily and Brad:We also enjoyed a trip on the canals with Ester and Mark in their sloop. Again we were treated to fabulous hospitality not enjoyed on the mainstream tours. We can thoroughly recommend both the apartment and the canal tour and hope to be able to return for a much longer stay at some stage.
Bruce:For an extra fee if the weather is right and they are available they will take you on a private boat tour of the canals complete with pillows snacks and drinks. You will feel like a movie star and was a highlight of our vacation!
Brian:If you have the chance I would highly recommend the boat tour on Ester and her husband's boat. It was so much fun and we got to see all of Amsterdam by winding through all the canals.

Had a great couple of days at Ester's apartment. Communications were spot on and the arrangemnts went like clock work.
Ester made us very welcome and the goodies in the fridge were really appreciated. The apartment itself is fabulouse and the massive bath came into its own after a long day walking around Amsterdam. Ester had kindly put together a personalised guide of the neighbouhood which was particuarly useful and the restaurant recommendations ensured we didn't have to take pot luck - we had an excellent weekend and even had the use of the apartment on our last day as the next lucky guests weren't due to arrive the following day. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the bikes due to the inclement weather but maybe next time......
Practical, stylish apartment in a trendy area of Amsterdam. Great location, close to shops, transport and within short walking distance of Museumplein. Ester was a thoughtful, efficient host and had even filled the fridge with essential groceries. Would happily book this apartment again.
Thanks Ester for the lovely welcome into your home , the few treats that were in the apartement when we arrived were greatly appreciated .
We had a great time and loved the area which was close to all the attractions and at the same time away from all the regular tourist traps , If you want to experince the Amsterdam of the locals look no further
The Apartement was exactly as you see in the pics and very cosy , the bakery across the road is a bonus and theres plenty of cafes and bars around as well as the Albert Cuyp Market ,the bikes were also a bonus and they were used
There was 3 in my traveling party and there was plenty of space for all
A beautiful apartment located in a vibrant and bustling area. Day markets and bakery's are within throwing distance. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay thanks to Ester. Everything you will ever need is in the apartment including milk, eggs and a few food basics which was not expected so it was great! I would definitely stay here again! Cannot wait to visit Amsterdam again.
Ester was a great host, the apartment was in a great location and plenty of information had been provided about local amenities and we used the two bikes that had been provided also.
The place was so clean and cosy with everything we could need for our break, we felt right at home straight away. We would definitely come back and visit again.
Ester's apartment was amazing. We were welcomed by her family. We were amazed with how true it is to the descriptions and pictures. In fact, when your son showed us around, we couldn't stop saying "wow".
The stay at her apartment made our holiday perfect. Her personal guide book to De Pijp was wonderful. We tried local eateries recommended by Ester and she was even kind enough to stock the fridge. The apartment was well situated and it was so easy to travel around Amsterdam that we mostly travelled by foot and the canal. The bikes were a bonus! I would definitely recommend staying here. Hopefully we can return to Amsterdam one day.
Our experience was the best possible. Ester was a great host and the apartment was in a great location and She gave us all the information we need. In addition, the place was so clean and cosy with everything we could need. We would definitely come back and visit again.

I'm the mother of 4 beautiful children, two boys and two girls. We live in Amsterdam for 22 years. Our house is 6 stores high and the first floor apartment and the apartment above (on the third and fourth floor) are now apartments for hire.
Marc, my husband and I design houses and everything inside. Beside architecture I also design huge spectacular cakes for weddings, parties and of course for the birthday of my children!
Three days a week I'm also teacher at the highschool from Amsterdam where I teach students how to design all kind of things. Marc and I both designed the house we live in and the apartments for our guests.
We also built our fantastisch camper (old Mercedes truck) to travel round the world with our kids.
See things, meet people and get inspired is one of my life motto's.
