Need social distancing? The Hummingbird is a small arched cabin with room for two and a kitchenette. Located just off the HW 290 Wine Road that runs between Johnson City and Fredericksburg, and just a couple of miles west of Johnson City. A great place for quiet nights, dark skies, and wildlife. Well off the beaten path while still close to civilization. Near great wineries, several state parks, shopping, markets, and good dining. This cabin does not permit pets.

The space
Smaller than the Wren (without the loft and full kitchen), but on it's own private spot with great night sky views, and located in a cedar/oak grove where we first saw hummingbirds. It is an Arched Cabin, built in 2018, located on 32 acres in the Texas Hill Country. The cabin is on the same property as the main house and two other cabins, but situated in its own private area. There is a bedroom, kitchenette (Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator, and microwave), outdoor grill, and bathroom in this cabin, with a king bed, a love seat, a small dining table, and a complete bathroom with shower. The well water goes through a 3-stage filtration and can be used for all your needs, from drinking to bathing.

Where you’ll be

Johnson City, Texas, United States

We are out in the country! Over 1000 feet to most of the nearest neighbors, home to some of the darkest skies in Texas, the only visitors you can expect are deer, wild turkeys, roadrunners, raccoons, jack rabbits (Jack and Jackie make quite a pair), quail, and Bob (the armadillo).
