Experienced Hosts You Can Trust
Kali and I have been hosting for nearly a decade — 9 years with the Barn Home and 7 years with the Tiny House. Both properties consistently earn 4.98 ratings, are Superhost-approved, and have been recognized as guest favorites. Our homes rank in the top 5–10% of Airbnb listings, so you can feel confident that your stay will be thoughtfully managed and comfortable.
LOCATION
The tiny home is tucked away on the far edge of our property, approximately 400 feet from the main house, with its own private driveway and outdoor space. Our cabin rental is located about 100 feet away, but each home has its own parking, entrance, and outdoor areas to provide guests with privacy. While both rentals share the same property, they are thoughtfully positioned to offer a peaceful and relaxing stay.
You may occasionally see us around the property during your stay, but we respect our guests’ privacy and strive to provide a peaceful, relaxing experience.
SUSTAINABILITY
Caring for the environment is important to us. Throughout both this tiny home and our own home, we choose biodegradable, non-toxic, and responsibly sourced products whenever possible. We also recycle and compost responsibly, and bottle deposits are donated to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network to support local families facing the financial burden of cancer treatment.
SKIING & SNOWBOARDING
We are conveniently located 30 minutes from Stowe Mountain resort, 40 min from Smugglers Notch and around an hour to Bolton Vally or Jay Peak resorts. For cross-country skiing we have Craftsbury Outdoor Center located 30 min away with 105 kilometers of groomed trails.
MICRO WEDDINGS & ELOPEMENTS
Our property has become a special place for couples looking to celebrate love in an intimate way. We’re happy to host small wedding ceremonies or elopements (up to ~20 guests) for an additional fee. A handcrafted arbor and benches are available for your use, and the natural setting makes a beautiful backdrop for your photos. If you’re dreaming of a simple, rustic Vermont celebration surrounded by nature, we’d love to help make it happen. Just reach out to discuss options!
HEALTH & SAFETY
Your safety is a priority. The tiny home is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, along with a fire extinguisher, and these are regularly tested and maintained. The direct-vent propane heater is professionally inspected and serviced each year. During the winter months, the driveway and walkways are shoveled and sanded as needed to help provide safe access.
NATURE & BUGS
This tiny home is nestled in rural Vermont, surrounded by forests, fields, and nature. As with any countryside setting, you may encounter insects throughout the warmer months, including mosquitoes, black flies, ants, wasps, and the occasional ladybug. These are a normal part of the Vermont experience. We recommend bringing bug spray if you plan to spend extended time outdoors, and a cozy fire is always a great way to enjoy the evening while keeping the bugs at bay.
SAFETY & RESPONSIBLE USE
We want all guests to enjoy the tiny home and property safely. Please use all features, including the loft ladder, firepit, appliances, and outdoor areas responsibly and follow the house guidelines provided. Guests are responsible for their own personal safety and belongings during their stay. By booking Sunrise Sunset Tiny House, guests acknowledge that they are staying in a rural setting and agree to use the home and property in a safe and respectful manner.
Guest access
During the summer months we cut paths around our fields and have snowshoe trails in the winter, we encourage guest to use both.
Other things to note
Please note: A small rental cabin is located about 100 feet from the tiny house. Each home has its own driveway and outdoor space, ensuring privacy while sharing the same peaceful property.
Vermont is a popular destination for all outdoor enthusiasts including hunters. Although we do not allow hunting on our property it is not uncommon to hear or encounter hunters in the surrounding area. For hikers during hunting season, we recommend wearing a bright orange item for visibility on the trails.
About the experience
This tiny home is best suited for guests who value a quiet, well-cared-for stay and appreciate the realities of rural Vermont living. We host hands-on and maintain the property year-round — through snowstorms, cold snaps, and changing seasons — to ensure a safe, comfortable, and reliable experience.
Our nightly rate reflects that level of care, attention, and stewardship, rather than a high-volume or minimalist approach. If you’re looking for a thoughtfully maintained retreat where the details matter, this is likely a great fit.
