You will love the Vineyard Suite for its historic charm, privacy, peace and quiet, oak trees, and close proximity to four wineries within 5 minutes. The Vineyard Suite is located inside the main house of the Rockford Inn..that is also available to rent as a 3-bedroom guest house. Since this is a guest house now, there is no breakfast served. This beautifully decorated room features a comfortable queen sleigh bed, loveseat/sofa bed, WIFI, TV, a private bathroom & access to the entire main house.

The space
The Rockford Vineyard Suite is the entire upstairs inside the main house of the Rockford Inn. There is a queen sleigh bed and a love seat/twin sofa bed, so it can sleep 3. You have access to the entire main house, which includes access to the fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, porch and deck. Our Inn sits on 7 acres and was built in 1840. The uniqueness of The Rockford Inn will interest you in itself…the farmhouse has so much character - houses aren’t made this way anymore. Enjoy your coffee, hot tea or local wine on the deck overlooking the vineyard.
This is the ultimate place for rest and relaxation; spend quality time with loved ones, enjoy an adventure on the Yadkin River, shop locally, visit local wineries and breweries, bike/hike, or catch up on sleep. Within walking distance, you can enjoy the small town life Rockford, NC has to offer. From unique boutique shopping, authentic general store, kayaking down the Yadkin River, or taking a step back in time to enjoy the rich history of the Village of Rockford, you won’t have to go far for an experience to remember.
The entire house is available to rent as well as the two other rooms at the Inn. Search for “Rockford Inn”, “Rockford Mountain Laurel Room”, or “Rockford Blue Ridge Room”. Good for couples, solo travelers, a girl’s weekend, families and business travelers.
We have been a Bed & Breakfast for 15 years and have over 150 glowing 5-star reviews on Trip Advisor. We have decided to take a step back and enjoy our grandchildren, fur babies and traveling but would still like to offer the rooms for your enjoyment. So while there is not a full hot breakfast, the kitchen is available to you, and there are always muffins and coffee and other items for you to enjoy. Enjoy the rich heritage and history of the Village of Rockford, established in 1789, where the fresco entitled, "Come Unto Me" adorns the 1914 Rockford Methodist Church. Rockford was the county seat of Surry from 1789 to 1850. The Village is listed as a National Register Historic District.
There are 4 wineries within 5 minutes of the Inn, and great restaurants in the area such as Harvest Grill at Shelton Vineyards, Southern on Main in Elkin, The Depot in Dobson, Kitchen Roselli's in East Bend, and Angry Troll Brewery and Sports Bar in Elkin.

My husband Doug and I ran the Rockford Inn as a Bed and Breakfast for the last 15 years and are now transitioning to a AirBnB guest house rental. We have loved every minute of it! However, we are ready to travel more ourselves and love to hike, bicycle, ride our motorcycle or Miata to the Blue Ridge parkway. We also love historic places, and stay at rustic historic places when we travel also. We also love to travel out west. We went to Yellowstone in 2018 and look forward to more adventures in the future! Our motto is " Once a year, go somewhere you've never been before!"
