This little gem of a spot is on a secluded island in the middle of the Mississippi River. The sound of the rapids will lull you to sleep in your magical tent perched right over the water! With all of the modern conveniences including hot water, outdoor shower, bar fridge, wifi and well appointed outdoor kitchen.
This year we are building a treehouse on the island so although we will ensure no construction takes place during your stay, there will be construction materials around on the island

The space
You will park your car and walk across a bridge to your private island. Amenities include the fire pit , outdoor kitchen and a very comfortable outdoor lounge area.

Guest access
When you arrive to the property 1450 Sheridan Rapids Rd, you will see a little cottage. If you are facing the cottage simply drive about 50 meters to the right and you will see a sign saying La Isla and you will also see the bridge going across to the island. Park right beside the bridge. Have fun!

Other things to note
We have put a little heater in the tent to take the chill out of the air on those fall nights.
Lanark Pizzaria delivers to the island!
Their phone number is 613-259-5555 and just let them know you are on The Island in Sheridan Rapids
You will need to bring your own firewood.
If you are having trouble connecting to wifi, go down closer to the fire pit, the router is just across the River there. Sometimes you need to connect there and then it seems to work all over the island
