The space
Cook House is made for staying in. The main living area is calm, open, and quietly immersive. A place to cook slowly, listen to records, read for hours, watch films from bed, soak after dinner, or simply settle into a slower rhythm for a few days.

Though the footprint is compact, the house is designed to feel generous and complete, with a strong connection between kitchen, lounge, porch, bedroom, and bath.

The open bedroom includes a king bed with a premium hybrid Helix mattress, professionally laundered and pressed Parachute linens, down-alternative Parachute bedding, a 10-foot floating desk, motorized projection screen with Apple TV at the foot of the bed, Miele washer/dryer, and an en suite bathroom. There is also a twin daybed, which can be made up for a child or for guests who prefer to sleep separately for an additional fee.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cottage, including the kitchen, living area, open bedroom, bathroom, hot tub, fire pit, covered porch, EV charging area, and parking.

The driveway includes a Tesla charger as well as a generic 50-amp plug for charging other EVs. Please make sure to set your amperage no higher than 38 when charging. If you’re not bringing a Tesla, please bring your own vehicle-specific cords and adapters.

• Guests must sign our basic Guest Agreement after booking. Once it’s signed, you’ll receive arrival information and your custom door code on the morning of check-in.
• Reduced rates for stays over 7 nights are automatically applied at checkout.
• We love animals, but unfortunately cannot accommodate pets.
• Only registered guests may enter the property.
• No smoking indoors.
• Bookings are for personal residential use only. Photography or video for commercial, stock, or sponsored media purposes is not included. If you’d like to use the space in this way, please contact us for pricing and location details.
• We do try to keep the pantry thoughtfully stocked, but if you’re planning to cook or bake something specific, we recommend bringing the ingredients you know you’ll want.

Neighborhood highlights

Just under 2.5 hours from NYC, Cook House is a great jumping-off point for Catskill activities like hiking (we're about 10 minutes from Vernooy Kill Falls) and of course eating (Inness, Westwind Orchard and Arrowood Farms are all within a 25 minute drive). Or just cozy up and enjoy a meal on the covered porch.

A reminder that it’s best to get your food supplies before you reach the house. If you're driving up late, Shoprite in New Paltz is open late, but we also love Accord Market and MyTown Marketplace in Stone Ridge.
