  • This is what I always hope to experience with an Airbnb stay, although Glenn and Suzanne set the bar even higher- absolutely lovely space with "just right" amenities, exquisite location, reasonable price, and the cherry on top: delightful hosts that are very caring, respectful and happy to help orient a visitor to the region. Things got off to a great start with prompt email and text responses to my questions and practical communication leading up to arrival. The accommodations are spacious, very private and so tastefully appointed; the morning sun gradually infuses the space via a skylight in the cathedral ceiling; sleeping is a pleasure in the inviting and comfortable brass bed; the hosts have clearly considered the comfort, logistic needs and aesthetic sensibilities of guests. A quiet atmosphere is important to me, and this is the quietest Airbnb lodging I have yet experienced. Glenn and Suzanne and their Mendo studio will be a big part of the reason I'll be back to visit soon.

  • Mendo Studio is a little piece of heaven located in a really nice property surrounded by red woods. The studio is really charming, the bed is really comfy and it has everything you can possibly need. (Even coffee =), which we loved!)

Glenn and Suzanne are such nice hosts, they were always making sure that we have everything we need and we had some very nice conversations. Such a nice couple. They definitely made our stay one of the best vacation experiences we've ever had.

I hope we come back soon. We loved Mendocino and Mendo Studio!!!!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mendo Studio - it was as lovely and inviting as pictured and described, and Glenn and Suzanne were thoughtful, attentive hosts who made us feel comfortable and well cared for. They provided great resource materials and information about the area, and gave us descriptions about dining and hiking options that helped us plan our limited time in beautiful Mendocino. They were accessible without being intrusive in any way, and are clearly folks who enjoy sharing their little piece of paradise with those lucky enough to find it!

  • Wonderful hosts! This was our first time using airbnb, and we were so lucky that this was our first experience. The location was perfect, extremely close drive to downtown Mendocino but down a private road that made it feel like a secluded retreat. The cottage itself is adorable and very comfortable with a wood burning fireplace. Glenn and Suzanne were incredibly friendly and lovely hosts with great recommendations for hiking. They made us feel very welcome and even let us feed their minature horse!! Could not have asked for a nicer weekend getaway. Hope to come back soon.

  • Out of all the local options, we are so glad we stumbled upon Mendo Studio! Glenn and Suzanne were perfect hosts, balancing their suggestions and tips with a good amount of privacy in a way that was helpful and non-intrusive. They left us hiking guides and pamphlets about local attractions, which was a really great touch. Some Airbnb places just offer you a room to crash-- Mendo Studio is more like a nice hotel, complete with a book exchange! They even brought out their miniature horses for us to feed because they knew I was dying to.

Their property is phenomenal and within walking distance to the ocean cliffs, yet so remote that there is no noise or practically any hint of neighbors. The studio was clean and bright and beautiful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • Our stay was fantastic! We were in the area for a wedding and Glenn and Suzanne were fantastic hosts. The studio is quaint and cute with its own rustic charm. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay. A wonderful getaway for any couple.

  • Glenn and Suzanne were lovely hosts. They provided us with detailed directions to the hideaway studio before arriving and also great suggestions for exploring around Mendocino after we arrived. They let us borrow their binoculars which was a fun addition to our coastal trailing. I got to feed their pet pony which was a fun experience bringing me back to my childhood days.

The studio is very quiet and relaxing for those needing just that. The fireplace is definitely a nice addition and I loved having it heat up the room. It is not far from any of the areas that can be explored.

  • Glenn and Suzanne were wonderful hosts. Everything was just as advertised. The location is quiet and the porch area seen in the photo is a wonderfully relaxing place to sit and enjoy the wind blowing through the tall redwoods that surround the property and enjoy a glass of wine with someone special.

  • We had a wonderful weekend at Mendo Studio -- a beautiful property with gracious hosts who attend to every detail. Quiet, peaceful, and restful -- we especially appreciated the bathtub, fireplace, and sunny front deck. You can't not love it here!
